We are arriving on January 3rd at 1:15PM at Orlando International Airport. Our plan was to use the Magical Express to bring us to the Wilderness Lodge. Now, I am having second thoughts. We have two small children, 1 and 3, and I am wondering if getting a car service would be a better option. It appears that the service would run approximately $200 (round trip, including tip), and my question is whether or not it is worth the extra expense. I suspect that we would enjoy a greater degree of privacy, perhaps a quicker transport to our hotel, the benefit of having our luggage arrive with us, and perhaps a later departure time from the hotel when we return home (8:56AM return flight). So please let me know what you would do, and if you have any suggestions on the best car service.

Hi! With your children being very young I would suggest to take the towncar service. But it also looks like that is what you have decided to do:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We have flown but many many years ago before the ME experience but we come by Amtrak now. We've logged 43 trips to WDW since 1977 and the last 15 or more have been by train to Kissimmee depot. We really like the town car service, very clean, professional, waiting for us both ways but the big plus for us is the grocery stop. We load up on sandwich fixings, and beverages, Disneys prices are outrageous so this in itself counters the town car fee. Our trips are of the 9-12 night varieties and we load up at the store. We also like having our luggage right there and if our room is ready, we check in, unload and begin the fun. For us the cost justifies the means, I'd go with a town car service even if we flew into MCO, nothing against Disney's ME service.

I prefer magical express and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's a part of the whole Disney experience that I love!

Hi - We went this past August with 3 kids (6,4,1) and used ME. Since you are staying at WL (I think, right?) It shouldn't take too long. It's the lines for the value resorts that can be brutal. Also, the CMs at the airport saw the 2 of us with 3 young kids and they called our bus up to the front! If your budget is something of a concern, don't worry. If you don't feel $200 is major money, take the car service. Either way, have a fabulous time!

I would use the town car if expense was not an issue. With ME,you have to leave your resort 3 hours before your flight (minimum) that's a long time to expect little ones to be cooped up.

Magical Express was awesome for us...we had 5 kids with us and for them it was so exciting. The "beginning of our Disney Vacation"! The DVD players kept them enthralled the whole way to Caribbean Beach!
