I got invited to a handmade ornament exchange party. What can I make? I am not at all crafty. Id like to go but I want to bring ornaments that wont look like a preschooler made them!
Any ideas?

Go to the library and check out some books. They will have lots of ideas and instructions for you.

we make really cool train ornaments.

you need the following:
(5) pack of stick gum
lifesaver roll
(4) star peppermints (the round kind that come in little wrappers)
red hot cinnamon pill
rolo
hershy's kiss

Hot glue the lifesaver roll on the pack of gum. Glue the peppermints at each corner of the pack of gum. Glue the rolo on the top at one end and the hershy's kiss at the other end. Glue the red hot on the end of the lifesaver roll that has the hershy's kiss. Glue a length of string to hang it off of.

This might be considered cheating, but once, someone gave me a Mickey cookie mold (made out of stone or something of the sort) that was originally white. He painted it, attached something to it so it would hang, and it now hangs on my office wall.

What I would do is go to the local craft supply stores and look for samples in their displays and copy something you see that looks simple. You could probably ask them for ideas as well.
