Please Help - Just Booked Flights for Last Minute Trip Now No FP Possible

Do you think it would be worthwhile to email this individual about my experience? I have since booked an onsite resort stay, which opened by fp booking privileges. It still seems that had I been staying offsite I would be out of luck without fps. I am concerned about this for other people in similar situations and I am also concerned that the cms also don't seem to have a clear understanding or answer for this situation. Even worse, they are spreading incorrect information.
I do feel like you are going to get the most answers/responses from that email. Everyone who has sent an email to that particular email address has had a call back within a couple of days. I don't know how much they can help you but they will call you back to discuss any and all issues with you.

If you email it will bring it to the top that it is an issue. I thought about emailing myself because right now if we were local we would only have 2 days of fp+ for the next 57ish days even though the 5 are not with in 30 days. The computer system should be able to only pull allocations being used 30 days from today before it shuts people out.

I did send an email to the address listed in this thread and I am supposed to get a phone call response tomorrow. I received a voice mail saying that I would get another call tomorrow. Honestly my head is spinning from this experience. I am hosting family from out of town and I have been calling, emailing, reading about my options and getting disappointing answers again and again. I hope I hear something different tomorrow then what I have been hearing the last couple of days. Thank you for helping me think that I am not crazy and something is not right. I think I should be able to book 7 days of fps in this 30 day window.

Tulip, if you have time before your trip, please let us know how everything turns out. Hope the rest of your planning goes well! :)

I personally don't think the onsite reservation should count towards the 7 days...

I think they should make this change and it would solve a lot of problems for AP holders and still encourage them to stay onsite and not book say 30 Saturday's worth of FPP's just in case they decide to go to a park, but still plan two trips or one onsite trip with other visits in the meantime.

This was the way the system was designed to work. If I decided to stay offsite, I would not be able to book fastpasses, even day of fastpasses.

I just wanted to add that, worst case, that hasn't been my experience with the same day FP's. When I have had 7 days already booked on an AP, I have still been able to make additional FPP's for the same day, but only at a kiosk. Not much help, but might give you something at least if they don't figure this out?

I will update when I hear something. Thanks again.

OP here with an update. I spoke with a Disney representative who responded to the email that I sent as I was advised to do by posters on this forum. I am embarrassed to admit that the phone call ended with me crying and asking if it would be possible to cancel the trip at this point without being charged a penalty. The rational side of my brain is trying to tell the emotional side to get a grip, but I am still so overwhelmed and frustrated by the whole experience. I still don’t know why I was unable to book 7 days worth of fps in this July 30 day window. The representative had no answer for this question. She did say she will look into it but will not have an answer before my trip. If you will remember, I had to stay onsite so that I could get the fp booking window to open. Had I remained off site I would have no access to fps. Is this to force people into staying onsite? No one had tried to make mock reservations and test some of different scenarios to see what the problem was/is before contacting me. No one seemed to care that they didn’t have the answers for me.

Here is the only explanation I received: My next trip is 52 days out. I was told that all annual passholders can book a maximum of 14 days of fps in a 60 day window. The 14 days do not have to be consecutive. 14 days total is the policy - no exceptions. It does not matter how many trips or days of resort reservations you have. This policy still does not match with my experience because I have 10 days of fps for September and I have 5 booked for July; that is 15 days worth. In fact, after the phone call I went in and book a few more days worth of fps over the next few days just to convince myself I am not going crazy (I selected barnstormer for first thing in the morning and will delete them as to not take them from anyone else). I was told if you are using 7 days for one trip and another trip is within 60 days you would have 7 days of fps to use- no exceptions. No one tested out booking reservations and fps in reverse order (which is my situation). Future trip and fps booked first and last minute trip with sooner date booked second. No one seemed to look into this situation at all.

Basically I feel like no one at Disney thought this was a problem worth addressing, let alone fixing. The representative gave my an anytime fp to use on my last day, but we will be leaving for home at 9:15 that morning. I think either I should have been able to make 7 days worth of fps for this trip or the wording describing annual passes and fastpasses needs to be updated to make it more clear so that people know what they are buying into.

This is way too much work for a vacation. I am stressed out over emails and having to explain myself again and again to new people who don’t seem to see a problem in the first place. Disney is usually my happy place, but I feel so disheartened now. I have a few hours to make up my mind if I should just cancel. A black cloud seems to be over the whole trip. Would I still be able to go and have a good time? Of course I have a personality that has a hard time letting things go and my husband would love to just stay home and call the whole thing off.

Tulip, I'm very sorry to hear of the results of your phone call and for you to be offered only one day of FPs.

The big issue is the following statement, by the CM, which everyone who has been posting here knows isn't true.

I had always thought Disney held their APs in higher regard. They are shortchanging them with their FP policies, whatever they may be.

*If you were to Cancel your onsite reservation and move to a higher quality offsite hotel, your booked FPs remain intact. You won't lose what you have booked and your husband may find offsite accommodations more to his liking.

hiroMYhero, thank you for your response. I am trying to figure out why I am so upset about my experiences the past couple of days. There are many reasons. I have spent hours trying to figure out what Disney’s policy is regarding annual passes and booking fastpasses. I am not getting paid for this time, but I seem to have more interest in getting a correct answer than any of the cms I have spoken with, even senior level employees. No one seems to know, but the even bigger problem is no one seems to care that misinformation is being spread. I feel like a fly that everyone is trying to shoo away. These policies should be transparent, in black and white, accessable to the public. I have always been told that Disney has the best customer service. I can say that is 100% not been my experience. No one has even attempted to address the problem.

I can’t decide about our plans. Half of me is saying scrap the whole trip. The other half is saying, put this behind you and just go and try to have a good time. I don’t think I have the energy to investigate switching our accommodations at this stage in the game. We are supposed to fly out Thursday.
