Please Help - Just Booked Flights for Last Minute Trip Now No FP Possible

We have had the annual passes since last September, not vouchers. Thanks for trying to help. Been on the phone for over an hour now. They keep saying that is just how the system is designed to work and I am out of luck.

OP you say you have two trips planned.

Are you talking one trip with back-to-back reservations?

If so, you'd have to wait for the 60 day window to open for the 2nd before being able to make FP for those dates.

I have fp for the second future trip (September trip). I can't make them for the sooner trip, next weeks trip.

I have an AP.
I have a Resort stay starting Friday and another starting Aug 26.
I have FP for all of those and I can right now go in and book FP for today, tomorrow, and every single day between now and 9/15

Isn't it possible that it turns on the FP system for anything after your earliest check in date, up through the end of the 60 day window? Right now the OP does not check in anywhere onsite until September. She's looking for dates prior to her earliest check in date.

That makes no sense. I have no resort stay booked, but I do have an AP. I just booked a FP for illuminations for tonight. Also booked RNRC for a few days from now.

I wonder if mom2rk is on to something. Maybe the system isn't recognizing the September stay as a resort stay somehow? It thinks they are just regular FP booked with the AP?

That's wrong IME. You can book for the total number only onsite stays (including check out days).

If you are staying 15 nights over two trips you should be able to book 17 total days of FP. Is that what's happening?

OP here. I just got off of a two hour phone call with no resolution. Basically, I can try to book a July resort stay and see if that opens my fp window. If I stay offsite, I cannot book fps for my July trip. I was told many times that this is not a glitch and that this is how the system is supposed to work.

I had a 4 day, a 2 day, and a 7 day trip to WDW planned all within 5 weeks of each other. The 2 day and the 7 day was split with a cruise in the middle. The 4 day trip was a trip planned really quickly, because we just wanted to go. All of these stays were at a Disney Resort. I am also an AP holder. I never had a problem booking fastpasses for every single day of my vacations. What you are saying just doesn't make any sense. You should be allowed to get fastpasses for the length of your stay if you are staying at a Disney Resort. I have heard of the AP limit effecting several trips if staying off-site.

Not 15 nights, 15 days counting arrival and departure days
And none of that takes away the ability to book a FP for today
Nothing about the OP not being able to make FP for earlier than the Sept stay makes sense.
Even if they can't book multiple FP they should be able to book them for today

I would suggest booking something and trying, then cancelling if it didn't work. But if you're already past the refund date, that would be risky.

OP, I feel for you. It should not be this hard. Legacy FP was never this hard. And I would never take a trip (especially in the middle of summer) where I wasn't sure I'd have access to FP.

I'd like to hear @hiroMYhero weigh in on this. Just as an FYI, you probably should have posted this in the FP+ forum.

Do you have one day in your Sept trip that has easy to obtain FP?
If so, can you delete that days and see if it allows you to book FP for today?

If it does, then it should let you book day of FP for your early trip and then when it's over you can go back and do the FP for the day in Sept you deleted.
If that makes sense
