Two wonderful stays at OKW (and one coming up), and I'm trying to figure out the pattern to the OKW busses -- we didn't really use them too much. We were told what the route was, but didn't observe that to be the case. We never had too long a wait.

Do you need to tell the driver that you want to get off at the HH? He went racing by it one time and people had to scream that they wanted off there.

I noticed some busses that were marked differently (? might have been something like "internal", but that wasn't quite it). Do those travel regularly, and is that a better way to get to the HH? If you're at the HH, is this the bus to take to get back to your room?

Thanks.

I'd suggest just asking a driver before you board a bus whether he will be stopping where you want to go.

I've never had an experience where the bus did not stop at the lobby/main area like the HH during it's route around the resort...how strange that happened at OKW.

We've never stayed there...but I found this online. Unfortunately, it's hard to know if this is accurate any longer.

The current route of the theme park buses in OKWR (as of May 2000) is Peninsular Road, South Point, Old Turtle Pond Road, Millers Road, and Hospitality House. The buses to Downtown Disney run "backwards" so you can always get on a bus that will take you to Hospitality House and Turtle Krawl.

When I was there in July it seems to me they always made a quick stop at HH. But it can't hurt to ask if they are stopping there when you get on. I found the buses to be very reliable. :Pinkbounc

Every bus will stop at HH before leaving the resort. The route described above is the usual pattern, but on occasion the drivers do get a little creative and may stop at HH first, followed by Miller's Road and then Peninsular, South Point and Turtle Pond.

The DD bus does stop at HH when entering and leaving the resort.

As suggested, if you have any doubt about where the bus will stop, be sure to ask the driver as you board.

Enjoy!

We were also told that every bus stopped at HH on the way to the parks, but it just didn't happen (twice).

Are there other busses that just circle within OKW? How often do they run?

Possibly if the driver doesn't see anyone at the HH stop he won't go there. If you plan to get off at HH, let them know as you board. I always do this since I'd rather not take an unexpected trip to a park. ;)

There are no buses that circle the resort. When the bus returns from DD, it will say "Internal" when it stops at HH on the way into the resort. It then stops at the other bus stops and returns to HH before returning to DD.

If you go ton a bus that didn't stop at HH, it means that it had already stopped there on it's way into the resort before going to the other resorts.

If you want to go to HH just verify with the driver that he is stopping there as you board.

Enjoy!

I also have noticed some drivers get creative by picking people up at spots other than the bus stop, if they see you are running to catch it. Other drivers will not do that as they claim that supervisors ride/watch the buses to make sure they run the correct routes.
