Been seeing a lot more news reports of people releasing balloons and wanted to bump this thread again. Please talk with friends and family if you hear that they plan a balloon release.

This is a timely post. Just last night, I was watching the local news and there was a gathering for a homicide victim. They all were holding mylar ballons that they released. I told my husband that they shouldn't be doing that and how dangerous it could be.
