Hoping to get some new sets of eyes on our itinerary, since we haven't been to WDW in 6 years, and I know a lot has changed. It'll just be myself and DF, early 30's, and no kids. We are rope drop to close (or until we get tired) people, and although we do WDW commando-style, we are not the type to let it ruin our trip if we miss things, or things don't go to plan. We will have park hoppers, though we don't usually park hop, except for dinner if needed. Also, we do visit DL here in CA often. We try to visit all the attractions we can at WDW because they are different, but if we have to miss an attraction, we will usually pick one we have at DL.
*Edit- One idea I'm toying with, is starting the parks on Day 1, and using our "rest" day in the middle of our trip. I'm not sure if we'll need the rest day more after traveling, or after a few days at the parks.
Arrival Day- We land at MCO at 3:30, using ME, and checking into CSR. We plan to relax at the resort for the night (it's a long day of traveling from CA), and dinner at Pepper Market.
Day 1- Sleep in, and try to get over jet lag. Lunch @ Big River Grille, and maybe visit some resorts. Then head over to DS for some shopping, ADR for dinner at Raglan Road at 7:15.
Day 2- MK. We plan on doing rope drop, heading counter clockwise, and getting in as many attractions as possible while there's minimal waits. Early lunch at Columbia Harbour House. We hope to book our FP's for POTC, 7DMT, and PP for early afternoon or evening. ADR for BOG at 4:30. Any attractions we missed we'll visit after dinner, or maybe stroll down main street, and then Wishes.
Day 3- Epcot. Rope drop, straight to Test Track, and future world attractions. Early lunch at Sunshine Seasons, and we hope to get FP's for Soarin', Spaceship Earth, and Journey into imagination for early afternoon. Head over to WS to explore, ADR for Biergarten @ 5:20. Illuminations at night.
Day 4- AK. Rope drop, though this is our "relaxed" day. We will try to get FP's for EE, Kilimanjaro, and Dinosaur. Lunch at Harambe Market, and ADR for dinner at Boma 4:30. Between meals and FP's, we will explore the trails. I am not planning on seeing ROL. I would love to, and hopefully it works out that we will, but as of right now I can't plan for it yet, so I'm leaving it out. Our dinner ADR is early enough that we can go back to the park if needed.
Day 5- DHS. Rope drop, FP's for RRC, ST, TOT. ADR for Mama Melrose at 5:00. We will probably not do Fantasmic. I used to find our DHS days sort of "relaxed" as well. Since there's a lot of shows, we get to sit a lot, and just don't feel as rushed at this park.
Day 6-Epcot. Rope drop, hopefully will snag a FP for Frozen Ever After (assuming it will be a Tier 1), and 2 randoms out of Tier 2. We will spend most of the day at WS. Lunch at Les Halles, and ADR for dinner at San Angel Inn at 5:15. If we missed Illuminations our first night at Epcot, we will do that tonight.
Day 7- MK. Rope drop, and will head clockwise. Same strategy as first day, hitting as many attractions in morning as possible. Lunch at Pinocchio's, and FP's for JC, Philharmagic, and Splash Mountain. BTMR will be closed during our visit. ADR at 'Ohana at 4:05, then back to the park for Wishes if we missed it the first night (or even if we didn't!)
Day 8- 10 am flight back to CA!
I'd appreciate any feedback, or suggestions! Thanks so much!
