Hi, we're travelling with a 2 1/2 yr old & a 1 yr old. Can anyone tell me which resorts have playgrounds worth travelling to during our stay? We're staying at POR in Sept.

Thanks!!

hmmm... this is actually a tough question... Poly doesn't have one, neither does GF. I think they just demolished the one at the CR w/the north wing. the WL has a small one on the beach (but nothing to take time to go visit, unless you're there otherwise). The beach club and boardwalk both have small ones at the pool areas, nothing to take time to go to though. POFQ's is ok, so if you're heading over there anyway, it's fine but nothing spectacular. I haven't stayed at any other mods or values, so i can't answer for them. AKL's is nice, and the kids might enjoy seeing the animals, and you could eat lunch at Mara (the quick service place, which is very good). That would be a resort worth visiting for those few reasons. hopefully someone else can answer for others. your kids will love the winnie the pooh playground at MK.

sorry couldn't be more help.

I've been to WL, CSR and POR and the one at CSR is th only one I'd travel to. We were at CSR in June and my DS3 loved the playground there. It has swings, two nice jungle gym areas and a great sand area. The one at WL was just a climber down on the beach, not a big deal and I don't recall the one at POR was anything super neat. I also hear it's under construction. Try to find some pics of the playground at CSR so you can see for yourself.

POR actually has a very nice playground. CBR has playgrounds on the beach.

BUT, if you want an all-out playground, there's nothing better than the playgrounds at AK (Boneyard) and MGM (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set).

In AK's Boneyard, they can dig for dinosaur bones, and then make their way into the play area with slides, caves, etc.

In MGM's Movie Set, it's just as much fun, but I find it harder to keep track of just where DS is!

That being said, there are CM's posted at the entrances, so no children can just leave by themselves. Just make sure you have a firm hold!

Thanks! I found some great pics on allears.net. I'm suprised that some of the more expensive resorts don't have a playground at all! The one at CSR looks like lots of fun! We may have to make a special trip for that one...I was looking for places to take the kids that were outside the parks. Some "quiet" time, so to speak. LOL

Thanks for everyone's help!

We didnt like the POR playground. It was a wooden structure that was in sand. The structure itself was very old and we got lots of splinters. The sad got in our shoes and and down in clothes. We did however like the fishing hole and the kids loved the Video game room (of course) We like to take the boat to POFQ adn play on the playground and then get a popsicle in the food court and then take the boat back. It was a nice relaxing thing to do after dinner and before bed. I think the POR playground is under construction right now. You may want to check this out.
