What do you think of Play & Dine at Hollywood & Vine? I know my older kids won't like it but I have a toddler that will be 3 when we travel and I thought it might be fun for him. How's the food? Do they serve Biscuits and Gravy, hash browns etc. or just bacon and eggs?

i've had lunch and dinner there but not breakfast but lunch and dinner were both OK as far as food goes. The characters were fun- but i think you'll be much better off just going to the playhouse disney live show. Best thing to do in the morning at Hollywood studios is run to toy story mania at rope drop, 1 of u take all the tickets and get in line for fast passes and the others get in line to ride. Ride it, then go over to playhouse disney and watch it- and maybe the older ones can go to tower of terror or rocknroller coaster while you take teh younger one to playhouse disney. Then later u can ride toy story mania again cuz it is def by far the best new ride at disney. SOOO much fun, for little ones and for grownups too. But yeah, i totally wrote about other things than breakfast didn't i

Never done breakfast (we don't have small kids), but we've done dinner twice (we usually give every place two tries). We won't go back--terrible service, bland, medicore food and filthy conditions. However, I have read that the breakfast is not so bad and a lot of fun for the little ones.

We went there last month, and the kids all liked it (even my 9 year old niece) We had a later breakfast, so we could snack for lunch and then have a good dinner. We got there around 10, and by 10:30, there was NO ONE there. Our side of the resturaunt there were only about 5 tables seated. And the characters were super nice!
The food selection is good. They have the typical "kids buffet section"- where the table is lower, and has the mickey waffles, pancakes, and donuts, I think. They have a cold section, of fruits and yogurts (the full size yoplaits), a pastry section,(which the danishes were to DIE for, and I'm not a danish person) and then hot stuff, like bacon, hash brown casserole, and quiche (YUM!!!) AND, they had a breakfast burrito section too, where you can make your own breakfast burritos.
One word of warning...about every 10-15 minutes they do the "play" part of play and dine, where the CMs and characters do a dance and stuff. Which is cute if your kids want to participate in something like that. (mine are too shy!) But because of that, it is LOUD! Like, SUPER LOUD! And that was pretty empty. I can't imagine the migraine if the resturaunt was full. Just a warning though. The kids really loved it!

We had breakfast there in June, and plan on dining there again for our November trip. The character interaction was good, though I suppose if someone doesn't have real young ones they may not know the playhouse disney characters. We found it not crowded, a quick in and out breakfast with a lot of variety to pick from. I know we had pancakes and eggs and bacon and hashbrowns and great croissants - they had a lot more stuff too, but we're pretty basic eaters so that was it for us!
But a good buffet that filled us up well!
Going again in November, and mainly planning on going there because we'll be there for rope drop, and is the most convenient place to eat a good breakfast that day. It's not about the characters there for us, even though my kids are familiar with those characters, that's not the main draw for us to eat there. Though, I have to admit, Goliath the lion is just THE cutest!!

We were there this past Saturday for breakfast and we all loved it. I was really expecting it to be really bad from all the reviews I have read. They bacon, eggs, gravy, biscuits,grits,pancakes, french toast, fruit,cheesing potatoes, etc. Character's were great too. It was one of our best meals we have eatten at Disney, but everyone is different, so you really need to just try it for yourself.

What time does breakfast begin there? Is it one like Crystal Palace where you can actually eat there before the park opens? I was thinking of doing late morning so it would serve as bfast and lunch but might consider early if it would get us a head start.

We have been the last 3 times. We went when they first open and two times in 2007. All were for breakfast and we all loved it, of course I knew the songs from my granddaughters and they had a great time. Food was good. Allkinds of things. 1 time we had a 12 yr old with us, an adopted grandchild and she 4enjoyed it as well, they all ate and danced and sang. One of my fovorite pictures I call anticipation. This was the first trip and my DD and Granddaughter were looking in the window. I have recommended this to many of my friends and all have said how much they enjoyed it.
