Even though our trip is still over 9 months away, and we can't even make our ADR's until sometime in May, I think Hubby and I have decided on where we want to use our TS credits while on the dining plan.

Chef Mickey's (Breakfast)
Boma
1900 Park Fare
ESPN Club (yes, we know it's not haute cuisine, but we're both big sports fans and are planning it more for the atmosphere)
50's Primetime Cafe (again, more for the atmosphere than the food)
L'Original Alfredo's (as part of the Candlelight Processional package)
Cap'n Jack's (Hubby chose this for the night of his birthday.)

We tried to mix things up a bit so we're eating at different parks and a few resorts as well as DTD.

Of these choices, are there any that you would absolutely avoid? And if so, please tell me why with as much detail as possible. We're not likely to pass on a place simply because someone else didn't like it, but we're always willing to hear opinions and experiences.

Thanks!

From what I have read, Captain Jacks is to be avoided. We've never eaten there because of the reviews. I think you'll be find with your other choices.

I completely agree. We've also avoided it because of the reviews. All of your other choices sound great :)

We did not have a great experience at 1900 Park Fare. The food was less than desireable and it was very chaotic. I've heard some people love it, but we did not have a good experience.

My dh also liked Cap'n Jacks a lot, and wants to go back next trip. You really should try it for yourself and decide (especially if that was your dh's birthday choice). It is the only 1 TS place left where you can get lobster, so if that's your thing, take advantage of it.

The lobster was a big factor in why we chose Cap'n Jack, although...being from New England, we can probably get better lobster here.

I would avoid Cap'n Jacks, especially on your DH'S b-day. I had a bad experience at this resturant. I also went because of the lobster and my DH and I both regreted it so much (we really Disliked it so much). The service was very bad and the food was not good. I think that "Red Lobster" is a step above this place. I am not picky as I do like red lobster and many of the other food chains such as olive garden ect..

I am sure some people like the resturant here on the dis but the majority has had bad experiences. I think you should try what you want but not on such a special day. Maybe go to Lecellier on his B-Day, that place is great! and go to Jacks maybe the day before (dont save it for the last day because if you dont like it it will leave a bad taste in your mouth, ;) )

i like your choices.......
boma is excellent, all others are very good (even cap'n jacks, which we enjoyed) :) .
other recommendations:
spoodles (BW- excellent food & service)
Wolfgang Puck Cafe (DTD- awsome food, but can be somewhat hectic)
mama melrose (MGM-noisy, but hearty italian food)
btw, we were not impressed with Lecellier (just a smidge below average, nothing special IMHO), so i would not recommend changing any ADRs to include it.
