Planning for Epcot's garden show & need help

O.K., we've not been to WDW for two years now because we have been paying off son's college, but he graduates this year!!!!! So, I was thinking I'd like to go to Epcot for the flower and garden show in spring 07 which happens to coincide with my 50th bday. Is it much of a garden show? Disney used to have such fabulous landscaping and it really felt like a garden. On our last few trips we noticed that many of the flower beds had given way to tracts of grass. I can't think of a more fun way to celebrate getting younger than WDW, but will the flower show be the right time to go?

I love the F & G Show. Epcot is my favorite park anyway and that just makes it all the more special. I think you would have a wonderful time.

Epcot has bcome my favorite park, too. But, is the F & G Show a real garden show? Are there a lot of garden displays?

I think they had a good amount of garden displays last year. I love F&G time at Epcot. Finding all of the hidden mickey's in the displays is so much fun too! Plus the concerts are pretty good....and the park just looks so gorgeous!!

There are many special & beautiful displays at Epcot for the F & G Festival. The topiaries are absolutely amazing! Check the link below for what is scheduled for this year and you can see photos taken at past Festivals. That will help to give you an idea of what it's like much better than anything I could try to describe!

We were there in April. It's kind of like a stationary Rose Bowl Parade. Absolutely beautiful!!!!

And if you are truly a gardener you can take the Garden Tour! This was not exactly what I thought the backstage tour would be, but I still enjoyed it. Serious gardeners would like it even more! Discounts are available with AAA, AP, DVC, and deepest discount Disney Visa. There were wonderful hidden Mickey's and I especially loved the Butterfly Garden. And I learned that what I thought was honeysuckle was really jasmine. That fragrance alone makes F & G worth doing!

Oh my gosh!! Min and Bill's pictures have me ready to pack, but I need to wait until my birthday next year. I don't have the funds to go this year! This will be so much fun. Does anyone know what the dates for the show are for 2007? I've got a whole year of dreaming ahead of me! Thank you,
