We are taking our 3yo son next year to DW and we are taking all the grandparents (total of 7 ppl and one child). I am making planning folders for each family to better acquaint them with disney....some haven't been in 20 years....what do y'all suggest I include??

Unsure if you are looking at binders with pages or just a newsletter brochure. We made a powerpoint and printed the slides and then put them in pronged folders.
To begin, PICTURES of the park icons, with a few attractions that are on the must do list. Where are you staying? Show the hotel/resort/home. What amenities are in the room, area. Dining. If on DDP, explain how it works. Give sample menus. Ideas of snacks.
Tickets. Especially if PH, or waterparks.
Photopass. Make sure everyone knows there's no cost for the photographer to snap that photo.
Maybe some scavenger hunt games for when you arrive. (Find a hidden mickey, red balloon..)
If you have the daily itinerary ready, add that now. Of course, as we wait for the calendars to come out, that may not be yet. Once you do, then add that in along with ADRs.

Hoping your trip is magical!

I would include the airport security rules (whatever they are at that point in time). If you were flying now, it would be the ziploc baggie rule for liquids, the take off your shoes rule with its exceptions, etc.

Print it off from the TSA website. You may have people in your group who have heard incorrect information, and they won't believe you.

You might want to get together on a We Go Shop or Garden Grocer order, so you could include information on that.

Also, if you are staying at a Disney hotel, you will get a list of hotel activities when you check in. People often post them, or links to them, here. That would be nice for people to have in advance. You can't do that a year in advance, obviously, but do it closer to your trip.

i would make some dining reservations if you all want to dine together. ;) otherwise it will be hard to get a table for all of you.

next, i would plan brkfst and which park for the first day and then let everyone plan the next park day together. nice thing to do while enjoying dinner after your first day in the park.

a perfect beginning to a disney trip would be breakfast at crt on the first morning. that puts everyone in the disney magical mood. what better beginning than the castle? pixiedust:

what resort will you be in? there are some resorts that have great things to enjoy. :goodvibes animal kingdom jambo house is so interesting and the animals are fantastic. the restaurants there are also fantastic. you do not have to be staying there to enjoy the resort.

I would put a questionnaire in have each person fill out, who are morning people ,who never eats breakfast ,whats that ride they remember that they want to, do they expect to spend all day in the park do they care to see fireworks, when you plan for people you want them to love it but these things can set expectations as to what will really work
