i keep seeing new designs, but on the site, it looks like the same DVD. i did hear however that they plan to release the new one in december. i can't wait! although i'm not that excited about the new celebration theme, i hope the DVD is good at least (and not as cheesy as the 2008 dvd)

I'm still waiting for the DVD too. I've been checking the site and it's the photo of the 2008 video that they show so I haven't bothered ordering. Has anyone heard if the new video is available? I'm thinking of going ahead and ordering in the hopes of a new DVD by the time they process my request. It has to come soon right? It's almost 2009. Has there ever been a year recently where they have not offered a new planning video?

I'm keeping a look out for the new vid also. I really can't stand the 2007 and 2008 videos, I really enjoyed the videos prior to that one.

I agree 100%! The previous dvds were pretty lousy but the one with Erin, Stacey, Dave, and Luck were awesome. I've watched that video at least 15 times.

Travel agents can get them, so I would expect that soon they will be sent out when you ask for one from Disney. I don't know when they normally start with the new DVD.

The cover looks very much like the one from the last two years, but I think that there is multicolored text, or something colored. DH is a travel agent, so he ordered one and we got it in the mail last night and are going to watch it tonight.

All of the links I click on show the "Celebrate" DVD, but when they mail it to me it is the 2008 YOAMD DVD.

Really? Because when the page comes up to send for the DVD, all I see is a picture of last year's DVD. Where are you seeing the Celebrate DVD?

Yeah, but I haven't gotten either. If they are waiting to send out a 2009 one, that's fine. It just feels like a long time since I asked for one.

They won't announce the new DVD until Christmas Day during the Parade. The one that says Celebrate shows up on the Disney Parks web site and it does say 2009 on the side panel when you fill out the form.

Can I ask what the problems or cheesiness was/is with the 2008 dvd? I have it but haven't watched it yet - was going to put in my DS5's stocking as part of the xmas present to tell him we are going on Jan 4! Is it worth it to watch?

Personally, I don't think they're as exciting or interesting as the one from a few years ago everyone likes with the 4 hosts. I just watched the '09 video, and I fell asleep about halfway through. Of course, that is not all the video's fault, but it really wasn't captivating. We also think most of it was the 08 video redone with some colorful balloons and a new segment about the theme.

If you don't have the old DVD to watch, there's no reason not to watch a new one to get a five year old excited about it!

Could you direct me to the page you are talking about? Because on the Free Disney Vacation Planning DVD page, this is the photo of the DVD you are ordering when you fill out the form:

2009 is not mentioned anywhere on the page including the side bar.

So, if you could direct me to the page that allows you to order the 2009 DVD, I would appreciate it.

I didn't find it cheesy at all. It seemed like a pretty normal promotional video with all the info you would need. I've watched it several times to excite myself for our upcoming trip.

I hope on the new dvd the expend on the resorts a little. The prevues on the 2008 dvd were so quick it was hard to get a good feel for each resort.

Unfortuantely, they have all been like that. I think it is to give you a little taste and make you hungry for more. Even the website has very little to offer about the resorts other than a few random photos and a list of amenities.

I agree, it would be nice to see a little more, but I would not bet on it.
