Planning another magical 5th birthday

Just throwing my two cents in. Like Denovagirl stated, the long range rfid's worked well for us a week and a half ago, but for some reason, we didn't get our test track photos. If any ride photos are really important to you, it might be worth double checking. :)

Good to know! You should call them. I read the same thing on a diff thread and Disney was able
To find and retrieve the missing photos!

I will keep that in mind too just in case that happens. I think it's great though if we don't have to take the time to stop and go load them.

For our movie this week we watched The Lion King!

On the menu:
Lions made out of rolls, mac and cheese, cheese slices, and raisins. We also had Slimy yet satisfying ants (and worms) on a log, Trees of Life, and banana Creamies for dessert.

After dinner, the girls tried their hand at drawing Lion King characters from a book we got at the library.

Abi only got this far. She was doing really good but got bored with it.

Maddy loves drawing. And finished her lion. I think it is so funny. I think it kind of looks like a Doctor Who villain.

When they were done drawing, they spent the rest of the time playing with our little plastic animals and blocks.

Afterward we played Monkeys In A Barrel. Abi won every round.

Also, just as an add on....
We did Pinocchio for our mid week movie last week. The girls loved it so much. We had some goldfish (Cleo) crackers for a snack while watching.

Ha. Thanks.
What movie do you think you will watch? I love the movie nights but they are an easy transition for us since we already do a movie night Saturday nights. I just add themed food. :)

My mom and dad asked me for our list of movies and they are watching the same ones we are each weekend. I don't think she is doing all the themed food but I think it is cute that she wanted to be on the same movie schedule as we are.

I am SOOOOOOO jumping on the band wagon on LOVING The Mac and cheese!!!

Stealing this idea!!!

I want to get him to watch Swiss Family Robinson as he has never seen it, but also have Hercules and Little Mermaid waiting beside the Xbox to be watched. Maybe I should make a schedule. :scratchin

Aww, thats so cute that your parents want to "watch along"!!:goodvibes

Ooh I love Swiss Family Robinson! As a little girl I wanted to be best friends with Frances. So we could go play with animals together.
My girls will not believe me that he is a boy though. :lmao:

I am new to DIS boards, and I'm just trying to figure them out. I'm enjoying reading your posts. My husband is almost Disneyed out, I talk about our upcoming trip so much. We are going Dec. 3-10. I just missed free dining, but I really need those dates, so I can't switch. I will have my 11,and 7 year old daughters on the trip, and my 7 year old will be turning 8 while we are there. I purchased her a Cinderella dress, but I will be making the shoes :), and my grandmother in law is making my oldest an Elsa dress.

My kids have been watching old Disney VHS tapes (since I can pick those up next to nothing) while I grade papers after school or work in the summer as I'm a teacher. I love your food ideas though. So cute!

I'm looking for great ways to make my daughter's birthday magical. Most of the ideas on Disney's website are a bit out of my price range. So far I've bought a banneR for our room, I'm going to have stockings where Tink can leave gifts, although I do not ave as many as you do :) (hard to shop when my kids are with me mostly).

Other than getting the free button and the wake up call, do u have any great tips?

Btw, we went in 2010 with in laws, and I scrapped autograph books that were very intricate. The characters loved them! I read somewhere about having them sign a pillowcase, but I'm not sure how u keep a marker from bleeding through fabric without carrying around card board! However, I am taking shatterproof balls into the park so that in Epcot we can have Merry Christmas written on them in different languages.

Sorry to write so much! YOur trip planning is inspiring, and I have no one to share my planning with since I'm driving my hubby crazy!

Thanks for any ideas you might have!
