Planning another magical 5th birthday

This weekend we did our first Disney Movie Night. We watched Enchanted!
For dinner we made pizza. We also had apple slices with caramel dip, "Apple-tini's" and some "True Love's (Hershey) Kisses"

After the movie we played Disney Apples to Apples.

In between our regular Disney movie nights we are doing Disney movie time- usually just popcorn and watching the show. This is to make sure we can get in all the movies I want us to watch before November.

Last week we didn't get to our mid week movie. So we did it last night. We watched Aristocats. The girls had popcorn and pink lemonade and took turns snuggling with our Marie stuffed animal.

Then Maddy drew us a picture of all the kittens.

It was really fun! We did enjoy Aristocats. It is one of those Disney movies I just haven't seen very often. Abi had watched it once before and Maddy had never seen it. And they both loved it.

As I was unpacking, I came across a box that just said Disney on it. I didn't remember packing it for some reason.
As soon as I opened it, it was like Christmas!:cheer2:
In it were all of the things from our last Disney trip and the things I had gathered over the last few years in hopes of another trip to Disney. When I thought it wasn't going to be possible to go again for a couple of years, I had forgot about all of it.

The twirl skirts I made for the last trip. They still fit!!:thumbsup2

The pattern for princess dresses for their dolls. I knew I had this somewhere so I was so happy to find it. I am planning on making a few of these.

A rapunzel twirl shirt I made for Abi. It will be a bit big on Maddy but I think it will fit her.

The Alice dress I made for Abi. Again, will be a bit big on Maddy but will fit.
We are excited that Maddy will be the same age as Abi was on the last trip but Abi was much taller than Maddy is, so everything will be a bit long.

The pink Cinderella gown I made and the blue necklace that goes with it. I tried this on Maddy and I will have to take it in a bit and shorten it a bit. But I am thinking that since our BBB appt is late in the day I might have her wear this until we go so that she will still be dressed up for CRT.

The Tinkerbell dress I won a couple of years ago will fit Maddy perfectly.
:goodvibes

The birthday banner I printed off last time. I am so glad I will be able to use this again. There are also coupons and invitations and tags that I am not sure I will use... but I probably will use a few of them.

The lanyards! When I bought the one that Abi used before, I got two. We didn't use the second one but I am so glad I have it now so that they have matching ones.
Also the princess rings are something I picked up in the Target dollar spot a few years ago.
The bubble guns I got at Cracker Barrel a few years ago when I saw that they were only a couple of dollars because that is something we bought at Fantasmic for much more money.
There were also Mickey band aids and princess toothbrushes.

I have also made some new purchases. AcK! I wasn't going to. But I couldn't help it. Now I am going to have to make a list of everything I want in their travel backpacks and for daily prizes so that I can stop myself if I have already got too many items. Which I probably have....:rolleyes1
I went into a local toy store and they had a bunch of these things on clearance so I picked up a few...

I got some long sleeved tee shirts on clearance at Target to use the iron on planes for the arrival day.
I also picked up some new Sharpies for autographs.
From the dollar spot I got some Disney and Hello Kitty rainbow loom bands.
And I got the chapstick.

I also picked up this Hello Kitty sticker book because I had already ordered a Sofia one on Amazon and I wanted them to each have a sticker book on the plane for the way home since those tend to be the best airplane distractions for them.
And I got a pair of black legging shorts and pants for each of them on sale to go under their skirts. As well as the princess gummy candy and magic towels from the dollar store.
I got the tide pods because I know I will be doing laundry while we are there and I can share them with my mom.

So, I have a problem. Apparently I am a Disney hoarder. I do not know if there is a cure. :ssst:

Wow! What a find! I love all the dresses from your last trip! How awesome! And all the other goodies, what a score. Especially the bubble guns! :-)

Oooh so much fun to find Disney treasure!! Especially when you can still use it! Fantastic! I love those dresses, and you made them?! Amazing!:goodvibes

Thanks! I am really excited about those bubble guns. Last time we had people coming up to us all night long asking where we got it and by the time Fantasmic started, you could see them everywhere.
So, I know Abi would want one again. I am so glad I found them and picked them up when I did.:goodvibes

I found two more dresses I forgot to mention in the last post.
I made each girl a Feliz dress with a Tinkerbell theme. They were quite big on them so they still fit perfectly.
I looked back through my blog to find a picture of them wearing the dresses so I didn't have to go take a picture. I decided this one was appropriate since we just watched the Aristocats.

Wednesday afternoon I pulled out some small snacks we had on hand (mini oreos, teddy grahams, and minion something or others. :)
We went to get drinks (or icee's for the girls) and settled in to watch a movie Abi and Maddy had never seen.
Honey, I shrunk the kids!
I remember really enjoying this show. They weren't that impressed. :confused3

Whaaaat?! Weren't impressed?! Oh man that makes me feel old for some reason! lol.

I LOVED Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! I think it was the first movie I saw twice in the theatre. I used to dream about finding a giant oatmeal cookie to eat! And sleeping in a lego with a cute boy! :goodvibes Oh man, I think I need to watch it again now! lol

Aww man! I love that movie! Bummer the kids didn't :-/ but I bet they'll love the playground!

Yeah, they enjoyed playing in there before so I wanted to show them the movie. I think once we are there they will remember watching it and have more fun.
I think it may have been that they didn't relate to the young boys or the teenage girl crushing on a boy... I don't know.
Because I was probably early teens when I saw it for the first time...
