Planning another magical 5th birthday

Whoa! Hold up! How did I miss the shoes?!?!! Ahhhh! They're awesome! Love em! Make sure to scotch guard them to protect them... I have been wanting to do some my little pony ones myself ;)

Thanks!
I wanted to ask you about your shoes. You said you used acrylic paint. What kind did you use? And what kind of brushes? I am trying to decide if I want to try paint for the next ones and I was thinking of getting a bag or something to practice on. But when I was looking at paint and brushes I was at a loss as to what would be the best kind for shoes. :confused3
I am a little worried that the Sharpie won't hold up as well.

I had some awesome Disney luck last Thursday!
We were starting out our 4th celebrations with a balloon festival and Colonial festival about 45 minutes south of us in a little town called Provo. The girls loved watching the hot air balloons go up but then when we got to the Colonial festival it was very underwhelming. It looked like it would be amazing but nothing was ready. It was really hot and unusually humid and there were dogs running around everywhere. (My older daughter was bit by a friend's dog last year and now they are both afraid of any dog they don't know well.) We walked around for about an hour hoping something would start happening and it never did.
So, Maddy asked if we could go to Build A Bear to see if they had the ninja turtles there yet. I told her we wouldn't be buying anything but since we were only minutes away from the mall we could go in and have a look.
The Disney store is right next to the Build a bear. I have been keeping an eye out for the Anna and Elsa animator dolls. But of course they never have them in the store or online.
As we walked by I glanced at the Frozen section just in case and thought I saw something. Se we went in. But it was just the Cinderella one. But as we were about to walk back out one of the ladies working in the store came over to talk to Maddy about her ninja turtle shirt and shoes. Then she asked me what I was looking for. I told her Anna and Elsa animators.
She said we just got in a shipment. Come with me.
And gave this to me:

AAH!!I was so excited. They didn't have any Anna. But now at least I have only one to search for.:banana::banana:
I told the girls that I would be saving them for a special occasion so they assume they are getting them for their birthdays. But I think I will put them out on Disney trip reveal day instead of making dresses for their American Girl dolls.

On our way out of the mall we went into Hot Topic. I was looking for the ten thousandth time at a Beauty and The Beast tank that I kind of want but can't decide on. And I noticed these little grab bags. They were buy one get one 50% off. So I decided to grab two.
We opened them when we got home. And I got a BELLE!
But more than that. Aren't they adorable? THey are keychains.
But I am thinking I will use them for Christmas ornaments.
I am itching to go buy more to try to get some of the other styles.

Awesome luck finding the dolls!

I placed an order on hottopic.com and picked up one of those mystery keychains too! I can't wait for it to arrive to see who I get! Belle & Jasmine are both so cute!

Those key chains are cool. And so awesome that you found an Anna doll. My mom found an Anna doll for Pickle's birthday last month, but we are still on the lookout for the Elsa one too :goodvibes

you are so lucky! we've been looking for an elsa doll for months....ANY elsa doll! what a great idea to put them out on your reveal day!

those keychains are so cute! good day of shopping!

Nice luck on the dolls! Although I'm totally curious about these build a bear ninja turtles now!

I love hot topic. They have so many awesome things that no one else seems to have! I love the keychains. They are really cute in person too. :thumbsup2

We actually found the Elsa one! And are still looking for Anna. I was surprised because I thought Elsa would be the hardest one to find. But so far we have called in a few times since getting our Elsa to find out that they have a few Elsa but still no Anna. :worried: Hopefully soon.
We have 4 months basically so I am sure she will be there sometime between now and then.

I know. I was amazed! They had some in both our area stores (one is about 45 min south and the other 30 min north of us) yesterday. I was so surprised they had Elsa again and no Anna!
Thanks. I think it will be really cute. And then they can bring them on the trip with us. They will love that.

They come out tomorrow I think. But they did have them out to see. They have all four turtles plus their weapons. And they have a shredder costume too.
She said the turtles are going to be $25 and the weapons will be accessories for $10.

Saturday was our Brave night!
I really didn't plan an activity for this night. There was so much going on over the weekend that I decided it would be another coloring night! But we did plan a fun dinner.
Maddy helped me make Scottish Scones.

We had the scones, Shepherds Pie, Witch's Brew to drink, Merida's hair curly fries, carrots for her horse, and Blue cotton candy "Wisps".

I printed out pictures of Merida for the girls to color.

When Abi got sick of coloring (again) she asked to do a Disney puzzle we got at World of Disney. The funniest thing about this is that Merida is not on the puzzle. :confused3 But it was fun to work on it for a few days.

We used this book from the book fair to plan our meal. We used their recipe for scones (and they were delicious!) and we used their idea for Shepherd's pie but my own recipe.
