Planning another magical 5th birthday

Yay more pins!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Gah! I love the Zero and the howling wolf! Triton's golden castle is pretty too! The girls are going to have so much trading them!

Yeah, there are a few I really like. I can't wait to see what they think of them and if they choose to keep any... and what they will trade them for!

Now I want more...

:cool1:And my work here is done!:rotfl: That's exactly what I said to myself when looking at Midnightparade's pins and here we are a few days later...

Pin-eyetis, its going around. The desire for more pins!:thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

I'm here!

Love all the stuff you have already purchased. Having matching pick a pearl necklaces is a wonderful idea!

I'm sure it was a relief when you got all the ADRs you wanted. And YAY for scoring a BOG opening for when you wanted it!

Your reveal idea sounds great :)

I would certainly buy something at the airport and bring it on the plane or pack something in your carryons. Food on flights are hit or miss..usually nowadays they only offer "Snack boxes" to purchase and not full meals. As for your first night, I would say relax at the resort! Hopefully you can go swimming but if not there's tons to see at Pop and you can walk over to AOA and check out the themeing there!

Pins!! I too have been stocking up for my trip ;)

i had an ADR scare this morning!
I read on the November Facebook group that someone had been called by Disney and were told that their res for Be our Guest needed to be cancelled because it was only going to be open for lunch that day. They were given a lunch fastpass for the inconvenience. They posted the date and it was the night we had our dinner reservation there as well.
I hoped that maybe ours was early enough. But then a few hours later I got a call and I knew what it was about as soon as I saw that 407 area code.
The guy I talked to was so nice and wanted to try to find a different night during my stay to make it work. I gave him our possibilities but we would have to move other ADR around. He said he would call me back.
A little later he called me back and was able to switch the two ADR's do we will still have our BOG dinner. Phew!
:cool1:

Wow that is weird and would be a scare! I guess they are maybe doing a private event that night now. Whew on them being able to switch them around and make it work! :thumbsup2

Saturday, while running some errands, I found myself right next to our local Disney store. I decided to go in and look at their pajamas. I really liked having new pajamas for the girls on our last trip and I wanted to do that again. I really wanted to get Abi some Sofia pajamas but I can never find them in her size. Like most things she likes, they tend to be in the little kid section. I found a rack with really cute nightgowns. And they had a Sofia one in Abi's size!! And a Minnie in Maddy's size. So I grabbed them. I did not want to risk going back later and them not having her size anymore. I spent some time at the local Scholastic warehouse sale this week as well. With Disney on the brain, I ended up getting some princess books to use on the trip, a princess cookbook just for fun, a Doc McStuffins book for Maddy, and a book about Walt Disney to use this summer for our reading/writing program. (I don't homeschool past preschool but during the summer I always pick a theme/subject and we do "summer school") I found the Elsa puzzle in Target's dollar section.

Take your books, we had characters autograph them. Air was so much fun and the characters loved it!

Oh Thank GOODNESS you still have your ADR!!! Disney is the best isn't it???

I also bought another 100 lot of pins... :rolleyes1

He said it had something to do with the Christmas party. I don't completely understand that though because the night we are going with the new res is still on a party night. There must be something going on besides that. Apparently the system wasn't supposed to let people make reservations for that night.

That is a really good idea. Thanks!

Thank goodness, that would have been awful if you lost your BOG reservation!!

I know! It freaked me out. After being so excited that we actually got BOG and then that we were able to change it to the night I wanted it for and hearing about so many people that couldn't get it.. I did not want to lose my reservation.

YES! I was so happy when he called me back to tell me that we could change our LTT and BOG nights and still get both reservations. :cool1:
Post pictures of those pins when you get them!!

I happened upon your trip report this morning! It looks like you have such fun things planned! We'll be there part of the same time you are. Our dates are Nov 15-19 (not as long as we'd like but we are also spending time with relatives in Florida). We are also staying at Pop and we are also from Utah! :thumbsup2 Have fun with your planning!!!

Are you doing a pre trip report?

Real Life update:

I haven't been able to post (or plan) that much in the last week. I am hoping that by the weekend, or at the very latest the beginning of next week, I will be able to jump back in.

A week ago Saturday we moved most of our things from a storage unit into our new home. I came up a few times during last week to move things around and try to make a dent.... I did make a dent but there is so much still to do!:headache:

So, we finally moved ourselves and the rest of our stuff in over this past weekend. I have been unpacking and cleaning and organizing pretty much every minute of the day and I am exhausted.

We moved into a much smaller basement apartment compared to the house we were renting before so it has been interesting to figure out how to store so much stuff and figure out if we need everything or not.

But I am really excited about being in the area we moved to and I know it is going to be a super cozy little space once I am done with it.

But as for now, I never want to move again. :rotfl: Basement apartment forever, I don't care.

Moving sucks, but we downsized a couple years back for location as well and it was one of the best things ever! We have slowly gotten rid of SO MUCH! You don't realize how much you don't need until you downsize! So I'm thankful for that, and our new place is soooo easy to keep up with as far as cleaning and such too :-)

Keep at it!

Moving can be so tiring! But exciting too! We moved two years ago and we went from having a nice big storage unit in the old building to a 2x4 small space:faint: But its a great excuse to down size and declutter which I like. Hope it goes well and that it starts to feel like home quickly!

Moving is the pits... i'm glad your happy!!! hope it all slows down soon!!!

It really is. I used to love it. I would color coordinate everything and make a million lists... but kids change it all. It becomes a lot more stressful when you have little ones running around. :goodvibes

That is SO true. Yesterday I was trying to set up the kitchen. It is really tiny. No upper cupboards. Only two cupboards, 3 big drawers, and one small one. I was looking around at all of this stuff that still needed to find a home. But then I had to ask myself which things I actually used on a regular basis. The rest I am labeling in totes and putting in the linen closet. And then I got creative with the rest of the things. So it worked out well and I really like the set up in there now.
I am thinking towards the cleaning part too now... only one bathroom to clean. :dance3:

Yep. That's been a really hard part. Our last home we owned in WI was quite large and so we aquired a lot more than I realized. :rolleyes1 Then we moved to Utah and houses are much smaller and more expensive here. So we were renting a house that was smaller and had to downsize a bit. But that house still had a two car garage and an entire room in the basement that we used as storage as well as an area for a playroom, and a room for each girl.
Here they share a room, the storage is really limited, and we don't have a garage since we are the basement apartment.
But I really like it. I think we are going to love it once I get it put together. Right now I still have piles everywhere. I really need a fairy godmother to come and pixiedust: it into shape.
