I need help w/ planning. We will be at rpr aug 8-14. So we will have 5 full days. Considering the heat and crowd levels will four days be too much for ioa & us? Keep in mind we have tickets 1 night for Blue man group and we plan to take midday breaks and relax at the pool. I am not sure if I should just go w/ the 4 days or take one day and go to sea world. I will be traveling w/ my dh and 9 yr old ds.

Our 5th day we plan on going to ksc. Has anyone been there? Is is worth the $100 for transportation thru mears to get there? what can you tell me about it if anything.

Thanks!

You might find two days plenty or four days not enough! You should be able to see everything in two days if you're onsite or three or so if you're staying offsite. You might want repeats too though. Sea World is great but it will be just as hot of course.

Are you staying onsite? You can spend time at the other pools if you are.

I can't comment on KSC because it's been MANY years for us. We enjoyed the trip back then but had a car and visited the beach too. You can sometimes rent a car for the day for a good price.

We stayed 6 days this year onsite and took one day to go to SeaWorld. This was the worst day of our trip, it was around 100 degrees and there is really no shade anywhere. I also had a 8 mo old and a 7 year old so we were just worried about how hot the baby was most the time. The good things were park was not super crowded, Manta was awesome and we rode it several times, and DD and sister loved feeding the Dolphins. But by noon we were all ready to go back to the hotel, we stuck it out and stayed until 2pm and called it a day :)

We like to stay longer to be able to relax, DH does not want to do the Blue Man group but since he will not be going with us in February that might be something I have to try. We always take at least a half day, if not a full one, just to hang out and pool hop. Becuase of the kids I like being able to head back to hotel for naps and some pool time so they don't get so tired we end up having melt downs on our hands :)

Thanks for the info! we have been to sea world before so I think I will opt for just relaxing this time. I am worried about the heat. We can always repeat our favorite rides and pool hop.

What's KSC?

We are planning a 5 day trip as well and have the 7 day passes. I can't wait! I am hoping to have a lot of relaxing down time this trip. I am thinking about the Blue Man group. we have done that. Any tips? Thanks!

KSc is Kennedy Space center. I have never been there before but the hubby wants to go so we are planning on doing that one day. Just hope it is worth the cost for mears transportation to get there. I have never been to US/IOA before that is why I was wondering if I would have too much down time w/ 4 days. Always go to Disney with no down time.

Yes I think we will have down time. I do have some Disney Days left from our last trip if we get REALLY bored but I am hoping we just chill out this trip.

We are doing our first Disney cruise next year and I am thinking about hitting KSC the day before. You might want to check out that thread. I believe I saw on there you request KSC tickets from you congressman. They had a program. Free tickets are always good and that would pay for Mears! Enjoy
