I said I was submitting on Thursday but actually got it done just now! I feel good about my answers but 100 words is hard!! Did I read it right that they won't announce finalists until end of September??

Somewhere it read August but once submitted it has September. I would venture to guess August though.

Congrats on submitting! I think the September mention was a typo (or just left in from last year). Usually the wait for R2 results is just under a month, so my guess is that we hear back the week of August 5.

Yeah I thought it was interesting that R1 was a day shorter this year and ended on a Saturday!

I kinda thought it may be a mistake with the two different months mentioned.

I was thinking around the first week of August too. But we will see. Possible shorter application window may translate to shorter notification.

I live in an apartment, so I’ve been working on a project to maximize my storage space

I am waiting highly impatiently! Luckily this week was my 60 days for my upcoming Disneyland trip (yay Halloween!) so I've been calming myself with ADRs and planning

(Been a looooong time since I was on the dis. I've been applying for years but never made it to round 2. I feel very good about my round 1 app this year but we'll see!)

Constantly checking my emails for an update, very impatiently does anyone have any idea what part of the month we should expect an update?
This is my first year applying so it's all brand new to me. Does anyone know how often they choose people from outside of the US?

Based on the timeline from past years, it’s very likely we’ll find out this week! My guess is Tuesday!

It seems they often choose people from outside of the US! I think there’s usually at least one panelist per year.

I know on the initial info for the application this year it said, first week of August but when you submitted it said September. I am thinking maybe this week and probably Tuesday or Wednesday if it is this week.

I’m gonna guess no. I think they have been doing it early week so by that weekend we have the video assignments for those that make it through

As we all await the second email - I just wanted to ask around to former/current panelist... Is there any other benefits to being a panelist not widely talked about? Yes - we should want to help fellow Disney fans plan their trip, and want to, but outside of the free trip and friends along the way, is there anyone who has experienced any cool or appealing perks while you visit Disney or applying for actually career jobs with the company after your panelist cycle? Just curious how being a panelist has benefited people in ways other than the normal.
