Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I had a few issues this morning but mostly my own doing. I should (in my opinion) have modified during the five minutes. I went ahead and just got what I could get and went back in later to try to modify. I guess I was fortunate to get Tiana because right now it’s showing only one time available for the day I want and the amount of people I need passes for. The time I got is not a good time but the time that it does give me that I can modify to overlaps. Therefore, I am not able to modify. Do other times come up during different times of the day where I can keep trying to modify? I really need to move it up a little bit as it interferes with my plans . I do not have any dining reservations so that’s not an issue. It’s one other lightning lane that I want to hang onto and do not wish to change the time because it fits with our touring plan but the other one I’m very flexible on and can pick that up anytime I feel like it , it’s just that it’s giving me the first available time and it’s an overlap and it’s no way I can move that.
Modifying Tiana is going to be very difficult due to the demand. When they do release extra LLs they are gone like right away, long odds you'll catch one. I'd figure out something else to move.

The problem we have is it’s from 3:40-4:40. My thought is that we can possibly get on it with the 5 minute early window, grab a party band and head over to Jack and Sally. Or be in the park and just line up as soon as we get our band for Jack and Sally and hope we are out before 4:40. Isn’t there a 15 minute grace period?

Yes there is still a grace period of 15-20 mins. I'd gamble on that myself. Worst that happens is they say no and you come back to ride around 6pm when they open for party guests.

Or we can hope the ride goes down and we are converted to an anytime pass. (I’d really rather the ride not go down though). Another thought is we grab a VQ at 7 am and get something else but we hadn’t planned on getting to the park that early. I basically paid for the LLMP to guarantee that we would get Tiana (I know a lot of money to secure 1 ride) but as I said before the only must do for the grandkids was Tiana. We do have an early LL and plan to use it a couple of times for whatever we can get but we have low expectations for getting more LLs for what we really need them for. I want to use the party time for things you can only do during the party and use the day for rides (pre party).

Me too! I was sh
Just wanted to report that I had no issues getting LLMP and LLSP that we wanted at 7am. I was even able to modify Tiana at 9:30am to an earlier time! I'm hoping this means low crowds for our trip.
I was shocked that I got slinky at 7 days and Tiana at 7+1. I had to leave for work right after, and didn’t get an opportunity to try to modify until after 12:39. I’m further hampered by the fact that I did it on a party day so the cutoff is much earlier. They don’t go over 6:00 pm. We want haunted mansion as late as possible which is preventing me from being able to modify Tiana. However the rest was very smooth.

May have posted some of this earlier but I’m old and forget lol.
I went with two 20 something’s who ride coasters that I can’t. For rockin rollercoaster we all had LL. I don’t ride but decided it was easiest to just go thru the queue and tap to all points and wait in the store to clear myself too so we could pick another ride. But for space mountain the person with an iPad at the entrance cleared me for all tap points and said it was so we could pick another ride and I was able to get us all tier 1 rides after they tapped the second touch point. I did notice sometimes we could book another before we got to second touch point but sadly don’t remember what rides.
We were able to ride pretty much everything we wanted using LLMP. We didn’t purchase for Epcot but did the other parks. We did single passes too for guardians (not me but the kids did that one) and RotR (which cost as much as the multi but it was a rare trip for one so I splurged)
Tiana went down when it was our time so we got the pass to choose another ride or wait for Tiana to come back up. I was told we could pick another tier 1 ride to book too but the system flat out wouldn’t let me. I was kind of annoyed but it let me when our original ride time for Tiana had passed even tho they loaded the pass where we could ride nearly everythjng (yep I’m old and forget what we call that). We had waited quite some time after the first tap point when the ride went down. This also happened to us a couple of times and they used iPads to load the passes onto our account since we had already tapped in.
Overall I really liked the passes and was easily able to modify times to overlap more day of. Also able to move times around. Mostly we moved them to later morning times so we could sleep in a bit. We also got virtual queue for Tiana but I completely forgot to do it for guardians and we left the park at noon that day to fly home. I thought it was very expensive however and when it is just us two AP holders we definitely won’t book as much. It was worth the money since the one member of our group was only on his second ever trip. We had a great time and I thought the system worked well for us with minimal time on my phone.

Please help…
I’ve read so many different blogs I’m confusing myself now.
Or maybe I’m just anxious because booking day is looming (Sunday).
Probably both.

What do you all find is best practice for booking rides in the morning?
-Book just the tier 1 for all days then go back and add tier 2?
-Book all three at once?
-Book the SPLL when booking the MPLL or do that after? Or before?

By best practice I mean to get the MPLL early in the day to be able to continue adding on more LLs.

Thanks all!

From everything I've seen/heard the best thing to do is day by day. Starting with your MK day if Tiana is priority. And optimizing during your 5 min before paying for the day.

Labor Day time period tends to be among the quietest times at Disney so this makes sense and I think you have good odds for your trip 😊

I wonder if we’ll see a similarly equivalent move in availability for busier times (2 days). Prior to this TBA was 9-10 days out, now it’s 7-8, so maybe during busy times we’re looking at 11-13 days? Will be interesting to watch.

Did my 1st booking. Since we have APs and go often genie+ was easy for me to maximize our rides.

I have a quick trip with dh . He is going to golf 8/30 and said just to book gotg and tron for sunday 8/31 before he leaves for the airport(i am staying on to meet dd on our original plan).

I booked both but both gave me times after 2p. It did ask which park I would start with so I tried both MK and Epcot but still got after 2p. DUH I had not booked a park reservation for our AP's. After I booked a park res for epcot it let me move to 9:15am. Ok that works.

Next I tried to move my 5-6p tron. It would show a time of 9:30. Well I can't do that ill be at epcot. I got busy at work and tried again later. After it shows you that time and you choose it , it then goes to the hour time slots to choose from and I was able to do an after noon one. I did screen shot this to see.

So it offers earliest, choose it but then can change it.

Hi all. I probably missed it, but what is the maximum number of people you can book LLMP or LLSP for at the same time?

The report was it is 20 Guests at one time by @princesswahooey that they were able make LLMP and/or LLSP selections. And it was confirmed by a GET CM. If you are going to try this please let us know so we can move it to 100% confirmed.

Ok so 9/2 I’m doing mnsshp. I did Pooh 3:40-4:40, Buzz 4-5 and SM 4:45-5:45. Since the park closes at 6 I thought pretty good. Paid and went back and could add SDMT 4:45-5:45 .

Pretty pleased with this. I have Tony’s 655. Grab a quick meal and back to the party, I’m alone, dd and DSIL have a date night.

I have a question (this is being asked in a few Facebook groups) I know you can go on the app and see pricing for the parks 21 days out. Once those prices are posted, can (or has) Disney changed the prices within the posted dates?

Our lighting lane experience…
We weren’t able to get frozen in Epcot. Then it was not running. We did get Tiana while we were at magic kingdom. Just pure luck. You just have to keep checking through the day. We were not able to get Rise of the resistance.
I don’t understand virtual que. we got Tron virtual que but our group didn’t get called til 8:30 pm
