Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

We were not able to get Rise of the resistance.
Were you trying for a LLSP for RotR before your HS day or day of? They have been selling out for day of LLSPs.

I don’t understand virtual que. we got Tron virtual que but our group didn’t get called til 8:30 pm
When did you get your VQ for Tron, 7 AM, 1 PM or even 6 PM for Deluxe Resort guests if there are Extended Evening Hours?

The VQs start with Boarding Group 1 and and Tron calls 10-15 groups per hour throughout the day. Was it down for part of your MK day? What was your VQ number if you remember?

Our lighting lane experience…
We weren’t able to get frozen in Epcot. Then it was not running. We did get Tiana while we were at magic kingdom. Just pure luck. You just have to keep checking through the day. We were not able to get Rise of the resistance.

VQ return times vary depending on how the ride is operating that day, so if it’s shut down a lot it will push BGs later and later.

I have a question (this is being asked in a few Facebook groups) I know you can go on the app and see pricing for the parks 21 days out. Once those prices are posted, can (or has) Disney changed the prices within the posted dates?
Yes Disney can modify the pricing but they have not for Genie+ or now Lightning Lane MP & SP.

Dave

Wow, so basically if I look at September 2nd where Magic Kingdom is $25, you're saying that tomorrow they could go and change it to $27 even though it's already posted for 25?
No No No. you asked if Disney can or has ever changed the pricing once it posted them. The answer is No but you seemed confused by my answer.

I'm not at all confused by your answer, what I saw was that you stated that Disney can change the price. What I was questioning was because someone posted in another group that Disney has changed the price on dates already posted. She's stating she's been following the prices so She can get a clue on what you'll end up spending and that Disney changed the price of MK on September 2nd from $23 to $25 just recently, even though that date has been posted for a few days now. It was my belief that once you're looking at the pricing from the 21 days out, that those prices stay firm. I myself have been following It too and I have not seen Disney change the price once the price was posted. I'm only talking about the current LLMP since we never had the ability to look at pricing ahead of time with the prior genie+

I don’t know if it was down. We just never used virtual que before. Unfortunately we weren’t able to go when our number came up.

No big deal. Just didn’t expect it to be ready so late.
We got on a lot of rides and the ones we really wanted to. We had a great time.

I don’t remember. It was 100 something.

Hey there! We plan on traveling to WDW for a long weekend on January 10-12, 2025 and will try to get the LLMP for Tiana, but because MK will be our first day and we don't plan to return for the rest of the weekend, we expecting it to be gone when we book our rides 7 days in advance (staying onsite). I'll be refreshing like crazy leading up to the day of the trip, but I'm tempering my expectations.

Has anyone here had any experiences with refreshing the week leading up to your trip and snagging it?

I remember back in the FP+ days, we would do last minute weekend trips and would refresh a lot at home to grab Avatar or 7DMT before arriving even during the busiest times of the year. But with this new system I'm curious to know if refreshing during the days leading up to the trip still works. We won't alter our entire plans for one ride, so if we can't grab TBA on LLMP, it's totally fine. But it would be nice to be able to ride it!

We might try to grab a VQ, but we are also tempering our expectations because we don't plan to enter the park until after 2pm.

Thanks!

I think booking Tiana (or any other thing) may be totally different in Jan as your trip is months away. LLMP has only been operating for slightly more than a month. People are still learning the ins and outs and it seems every day there is a new video out with how to best use LLMP. And Tiana could very well have done away with the VQ by the time your trip comes about.

I am with @elvispursley there will be changes before January. The VQ for TBSA is already supposed to have ended but the reliability has not improved enough to move to a regular Standby Queue. Splash was always a high volume attraction but TBA is just not reliable yet but there is still time.

I'd like to clarify a couple things as a few of the posts have gotten me confused. (the lists of attractions are made up)
1. I have an LLMP for Tiana, Buzz and HM. Tiana goes down, but my return time is a couple hours away. Does my LL become an MEP or does the time the attraction goes down have to be closer to my return time for it to convert to an MEP? (I read where someone got one before park opening)
2. I have LLMPs for Tiana, Buzz and HM. Tiana and Buzz both go down and are replaced with MEPs. Is there a way to tell which MEP is the Tier 1? I wouldn't want to accidentally use the tier 1 on a tier 2 attraction and miss out on the tier 1.
3. I have LLMPs for Tiana, Buzz and HM. Tiana goes down and becomes an MEP. (From what I've been reading) at that time I can get another tier 1 LL before even tapping into any of the rides? Do I need to modify a tier 2 in order to get the tier 1 or just get another LL (which would give me 3 LLMPS and an MEP - total: 4).
Thanks!
Also, has anyone been successful in modifying Tiana? I've been trying for 2 days and feel like I'm wasting my time. I've been told it probably won't happen.

Just a follow-up to an observation I had about being able to overlap MPLL times while pre-booking, which I was surprised about.
I’m here now, and other posters are correct about being able to overlap more significantly day of, in the park.
Last night at Magic Kingdom, I was able to get fast passes within even 10 minutes of each other. This is so different from FP+!
I had used all three earlier in the day at Epcot, so I secured three ahead of time for last evening at Magic Kingdom: Big Thunder, Peter Pan and Haunted Mansion. When we got off Big Thunder, we were able to get Space Mountain just 10 minutes later, even with my Haunted Mansion window opening 20 minutes later, and it worked that way the rest of the night. We did so many rides, there was lots of availability and we could’ve done more, but we were absolutely wiped out.
As a side note, at one point I refreshed and Tiana was available!

I haven't seen a direct answer to this question; my apologies if it has already been answered.

I have a hotel reservation in November, currently with a park ticket included in the package. I also have separately a 3 day ticket I originally planned to use in January which I may no longer need , and want to shift over to use on the November trip.

If I cancel the park ticket element of my November package and change the 3 day ticket so that it is reserved for the days of my hotel reservation, can I still get the ability to book 7 days in advance, even though the park ticket isn't part of the hotel package? Or do they need to be linked together to get that benefit?

Thanks!

Tickets don't have to be package tickets to use the 7 day privilege. If you are able to cancel the tickets from the package and instead align the dates of the 3 day ticket (and the 3 day ticket is on the same MDE account. I'm assuming you don't have duplicates?) then you can use the 7 day privilege with that ticket.

I did my LL today, got all the rides we wanted but need to tweak the times.
For HS I got MMRR for 1005
TSMM for 1155
And a LLSP for Rise at 1035.

I’m wanting to try and get TSMM closer to 9 and Rise closer to 930.

Do you think that if I tweak Rise down to 930 before I am able to get TSMM down to 9 that the system will let me still try and get TSMM to 9?

Will a LLSP interfere with getting an earlier time for a LLMP?

Thanks all!

No duplicates - - they would be on my same MDE account. Perfect, that makes sense I guess since you would buy tickets separately for, e.g., a DVC booking. But I just wanted to be sure. Thanks!

Modifying: I know you can modify LLMP, but can you modify LLSP return times?

Initial Booking: Not staying onsite, purchased a 1 day park hopper for 9/12/24. Does this mean we can purchase LLMP and LLSP at 7am on 9/9/24?

Yes I always buy the tickets separately because I want to buy the tickets discounted and I want the room cancellation policy (8 days out) instead of the package cancellation policy (30 days.) Never had any issues.
