Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Once it FULLY expires you can book another. We had 2 party members who had to baby swap on Tron and did not join the rest of our group for our first tap, Pooh. They were past the return time, but still within the grace period. I couldn't cancel or modify during that time. It just gave an error message. We were eventually able to pull the next one for them.
When was it FULLY expired? 15 minutes after the return time? More? Less?

So seven days before if you book a tier 1 and only one tier 2 can you then book an additional tier 1 at 7am day of? Will the system make you book a tier 2? Not sure if anyone has tried this. :rotfl:

No that will not work.

On the day you want to use your pre purchased selections you need to tap into the park. Once you do that step you just wait until your first LLMP expires or you tap in to your first LLMP experience and the Tiers are unlocked and you are then able to book any experience in that park or any other park. You will need a park hopper ticket to switch parks.

But also, the app has been SUPER glitchy while in the parks. I had to open and close the app almost every time I wanted to do anything because it would freeze up. 🙃
That is caused by the spotty Wi-Fi coverage in many areas. Yes they have added multiple Wi-Fi enhancements but you still will often lose your Wi-Fi connection and MDE just like many other apps don't always just reconnect.

Yes you are correct the easiest answer is to force quit the MDE and restart it.

Do we have confirmation (people reporting their actual experiences) that having entered the park and having an LLMP expire opens up the ability to book other tiers and parks even if you haven't tapped in to an attraction yet? I know there is Disneyworld.com language that seems to say that ( I was citing it in the days before the system went active), but the bloggers/vloggers seem to all say you have to actually tap in to an attraction to unlock that capability.

My experience above about the LLMP expiring was the very first ride we tapped into, but obviously we WERE tapped into the park, so I can't say if it would still work if you had not yet scanned into the park.

I couldn’t change any of my passes to anything but other group 2 in HS before I tapped into our first at MMRR…once we did that, I got Frozen at Epcot.

I was then also able to get Soarin to replace another HS group two that I never even used.

So, I had to tap and use one before it unlocked all rides at the other parks. As you can see, after using my group 1 at HS, I was able to hold two Group 1 at Epcot at the same time.

I wasn't just asking whether you could book another after one expired. I was asking whether you could book another in any tier or park. Are you saying that after those Pooh LLs expired, those two people could book Tier 1s or rides in another park? What in fact did you book for them next? Thanks for the reply.

Thank you. This is the first time I hear about this, and that is valuable. So a key could be to book any throw away tier 2 ride at a park that you can tap into and enjoy real quick right at park opening, and then swap the second tier 2 or a tier 1. If it still works.

They were able to book Tier 1. We got Jungle Cruise, BTMR, and Space. I don't know about other parks. We didn't have hoppers

Do we have a sense yet of which LLMP and LLSP will be unavailable to offsite guests booking 3 days out? I am currently holding both an offsite and onsite hotel for our October trip but would much prefer the offsite option. Trying to figure out if that just means missing the ability to book SDD and Remy, or if it will be more than that.

From what I've been seeing, I have a feeling it may be some Tier 2s that you will actually have trouble with that you may not expect. These may be unavailable:

MK: Tiana, Haunted Mansion, Pirates* (*depending on crowd level)

Epcot: Remy, Mission Space*, Frozen*(*depending on crowd level)

DHS: SDD, RnRC, TSMM, ToT

AK: Kali River, Navi* (*depending on crowd level)

Can't say on LLSP as I haven't been watching those.

I’m less worried about those because I’m more confident I can “fiddle faddle” into those ones.

You really don't want to be using the same account due to the way experiences are held for 5 minutes to complete your purchase. You will likely run into issues with competition for making your selections with multiple users on multiple devices sharing the same MDE Account. You really want to consider using 2 linked accounts and booking different days vs trying to sync times for the same day.

Just make sure that you have your payment method(s) set correctly for each account. Also if you are booking for several days there will be multiple charges to your payment choice over a short time interval in the morning. It has triggered Fraud notifications for several guests.

I agree if you have delays or take too long to resolve conflicts using a single MDE account you will end up getting later return windows or you may miss out entirely.

You’ve been a fantastic resource in this thread; much appreciated!!

Nope it doesn’t work. We tried. Dh and I both got errors and then I ended up getting later times after he got off the app
I tried that too and it cost us some better times that we originally had. It only gave an error when I tried to pay so that was frustrating. I couldn't be sure that was the reason, but if you got similar errors too then I'd avoid that. I did have my daughter signed into her own account and she was able to book for a different day for the same group at the same time.

Correct the first step is to tap into the park. If you don't tap into the park then when your first LLMP experience is left to expire. It is just dead and you can't replace that now expired experience and you can't replace it with a new experience.

This removed the ability to sit by the pool and make throwaway selections as you could with Genie+ to stack attractions using the 2 hr rule. They are both gone.

I have seen mixed results about the timing since there have been reports both ways so we need more data to see the real behavior. Even this afternoon we have seen mixed results from @Sandisw and @princesswahooey but there is also another factor at play since they were at different parks and @Sandisw had a park hopper entitlement and @princesswahooey did not have hoppers.
