Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Right. For more than a decade with every version of Fastpass, MaxPass, and Genie+ across the parks, if an attraction went down, you'd get a multiple experience pass that would _at least_ give you no less than what you had just lost. I can't believe they're intentionally changing that now.
That wasn’t my experience last year. Test track went down and I got whatever was left over at that time.

Can anyone confirm if more than one person can be working on getting rides on the same account (for different days). So, like I am working on Days 1 and 2 and DD working on Days 3 and 4. Does this work like in the past or does it glitch and kick you out?

Couple of questions I've seen referenced with some guesses, but not for sure answers.

We are going AK in the morning then HK in the afternoon. DH has an AP. So he has a park reservation at AK. I want to book our MPLL at HS. Can this be done even though he doesn't have a park res for HS? We will not use MPLL at AK, just rope drop.

If your first MPLL expires (you don't tap in), can you book another? I'm hearing you have to tap in for it to open up another booked, but no one seems to have confirmed this to be the case.

Nope it doesn’t work. We tried. Dh and I both got errors and then I ended up getting later times after he got off the app

So, I see this as you rope dropped to do a bunch of rides that usually have no waits, then most of your "extra" LLs were for rides that wouldn't have had much wait late in the day, especially in low summer season.

So LLMP boils down to if you get lucky to get the newest ride in the park.

I'm still stunned that Disney has pulled this switcharoo with a watered down version of FP+, and most folks think it's great.
I actually think we got a great value with it. Ds is 4 and doesn’t stand in long lines. Even those rides you said had a short wait were lines that he wouldn’t have waited in. Speedway was 20, Buzz was 35, and Haunted Mansion was 30. So to be able to skip all of those right in a row was great

Were you using the same email account?

I was hoping to do this with my son, but we do each have our own account.

I can’t find the post easily, but I am sure that someone posted a while back that she and her husband could not work on the same account to do this at the same time.

Oops: didn’t see this was already answered by the original poster.

You really don't want to be using the same account due to the way experiences are held for 5 minutes to complete your purchase. You will likely run into issues with competition for making your selections with multiple users on multiple devices sharing the same MDE Account. You really want to consider using 2 linked accounts and booking different days vs trying to sync times for the same day.

Just make sure that you have your payment method(s) set correctly for each account. Also if you are booking for several days there will be multiple charges to your payment choice over a short time interval in the morning. It has triggered Fraud notifications for several guests.

I agree if you have delays or take too long to resolve conflicts using a single MDE account you will end up getting later return windows or you may miss out entirely.

So confirmed that two people cannot be working with the same account

Any info on working in different account, securing LLMP and LLSP on different days, for the same group of people?

We did that (split up who got what) but each person had their own MDE acct. If your DD is old enough (16 I think?), she can create her own account, which will also help with pulling Virtual queues later. Both of you can refresh at 7AM to give you a better chance of getting the right refresh moment.

Have we talked about what a game-changer it is to be able to finally modify the paid FKA ILL$ rides? It’s been the most pleasant and welcome addition for us, honestly.
So you’ve been doing that day of? I thought it would be a long shot since ILL availability has been so slim day of.

Unfortunately, I have been home with the stomach flu for the past two days and have been watching the app and what is available.
As of today at 1:15 PM, the following were sold out for today: SDD, Toy Story Mania, ToT, BTMR, Tiana’s, Frozen, Mission: Space, Remy’s. This obviously does not include the single pass rides, just MP. We will be able to reserve seven days ahead of time and I’m optimistic. We will be able to ride just about everything we want to ride.

It is not a real game-changer. Think of it more of a recovery plan if your plans change at the last minute. You don't get a refund if you change to a different LLSP experience and as always making a change is always subject to availability.

I will agree with @gottalovepluto day of LLSP have been selling out so the ability to change attractions have been very limited to non existing.

ETA: still working on spelling...

LLMP Data report for Epcot Day 7/30 which Touring Plans reports was a 4/10 crowd day:

Again, group of 21, staying together. To be honest, the crowds were the most manageable we've experienced during the trip. We were quite efficient, and even with our crazy group, we probably did not need to buy LLMP today. This is the first time I felt we could have gotten by without it. BUT only because we rope-dropped.

At 7AM we pulled a boarding group (45) for Guardians with an approx 11AM return time.

Rope-dropped Remy (we were near the front of the pack at International Gateway, so rode walk-on) They let us in a few minutes past 8:30 early entry.

Next made the long walk across the showcase to Frozen to see if we could catch that, too (even though we had pre-booked Frozen for later). We weren't super fast. Group has young children and my 71 & 75 year old parents. It was more of a stroll. We arrived at 9AM, just before the regular entry rope droppers. Posted wait was 15 minutes, but it was about 7 minutes.

Quick bathroom/pastry break and we headed to tap into pre-selected Mission Space at 9:45 AM. (Wait time was posted at 15, so not like we needed the LL, but just tapped rather than modifying to unlock our next Tier 1 ride.) Remy was already sold out, so we selected #4 Soarin for 7:15pm, although we could have had almost any time we wanted.

Took a quick A/C break at Club Cool and got sugared up with free drink samples and introduced everyone to Beverly 😂(IYKYK).

Next rode our prebooked Spaceship Earth at about 10:45 AM. Posted wait was 25, which looked pretty accurate. We breezed on. (LL are definitely a lot faster now). Selected our next #5 for Living with the Land in for 8:00pm. There was lots of availability, although a little scarcer in the evening times.

By this time our boarding group for Guardians was called (FUN RIDE, BTW!) We didn't wait long at all. Thought that by the time we were done, we could go to our 1:30 ADR, but still had time to kill, so I modified LWTL to an immediate return time.

We tapped into LWTL around 12:10. (Posted wait 20.) Didn't even bother selecting another ride, as most of what's left are walk-ons anyway.

We still had time, so jumped to Figment. It was 15 minutes posted, and it would have taken me longer to pull out my phone and mess with a LL if there was an immediate one, so I just sent everyone into standby. It took about 5 minutes, but I knew we were still killing time.

With Figment done, we checked into ADR at Space 220 at 1:20. Got done by 2:45. Back to hotel for break/nap.

We were going to go back at 6:30 to ride our prebooked Frozen LL, but it started pouring cats and dogs sideways rain and massive lightning/thunder, so they closed the Skyliner. We waited until 7:10 when it was just drizzling and had to wait for & take a bus to Epcot with the Skyliner down, so we finally arrived at 8:00pm, abandoned our expired LL for Frozen (thank goodness we rode during rope drop) and went directly to Soarin. We tapped in, but didn't even need it at a 5 minute wait. Then decided we had just enough time to hit Tres Caballeros before the Symphony of Us show (which was sad without fireworks due to the rain.) Wish we'd had another hour in the park, but with the heat, it's just exhausting without an afternoon break. The Skyliner debacle cost us about 90 minutes.

At least they got the Skyliner running for park close and we got back to Caribbean Beach quickly.

Although we definitely didn't need it today, purchasing MPLL gave me confidence while planning that we could ride all we wanted to, (but really didn't turn out to be necessary.) However, if Remy had been offline at park open, we would have had to wait standby another time. Even if going in at Intl Gateway, which is an easy rope drop for Remy, as I learned yesterday, rope drop is not a guarantee. (And as I learned today, even a LL is not a guarantee if you can't make it back.) Anyway, I suggest picking Remy as your Tier 1 and trying to score Frozen as 2nd Tier 1 pick. There are plenty of Tier 2 rides you can choose that will have early return windows to get your ball rolling before Frozen sells out.

Our crazy big group is going home tomorrow, so that's my last report, but I'm happy to answer any questions.

Hope this was helpful!!! I'll probably do a sum-up of what I learned after we get home.
Thank you for all of the helpful information the past few days. Safe travels!

No I’ve modified it to a week out because we weren’t going to be able to make it for the one I’d booked. It also gave me the option of changing to a different pass if available at any other park with the appropriate upcharge if there is a price difference.

Once it FULLY expires you can book another. We had 2 party members who had to baby swap on Tron and did not join the rest of our group for our first tap, Pooh. They were past the return time, but still within the grace period. I couldn't cancel or modify during that time. It just gave an error message. We were eventually able to pull the next one for them.

Yeah. She is 23. I'm sure she has her own account. Might have to do that - of course, might not matter anyway if she is working that morning (have to check her schedule)
