Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Thank you. This is the first time I hear about this, and that is valuable. So a key could be to book any throw away tier 2 ride at a park that you can tap into and enjoy real quick right at park opening, and then swap the second tier 2 or a tier 1. If it still works.
That was our plan and we were there opening day so I could try it out for others. The goal was to see how it could work with some rides and park hopping.

I booked MMRR as my group 1 and just chose two others at HS so I had three reserved....got to park during extra magic hours and could do both TSM and SDD standby and made it to MMRR (which started at 9:05 am) by 9:20 am.

As soon as we did, I was able to get Frozen but it was for later that night...6:35 pm....and as soon as I did, I saw that Spaceship Earth had a 10:30 time, and Soarin had 11:00 am time, so I changed my two HS group 2 to those....

We were thrilled with the way that it worked...and the fact that you can overlap times, and cluster was nice....Once we got to Epcot, we did both Spaceship Earth and Soarin using the pass, and then booked Living with the Land and Seas of Nemo to be close to our Frozen time for later that night. We did Figment standby and headed back to Caribbean Beach for some afternoon pool time.

Later that night, had we wanted to hop to MK, after doing Frozen, we could have gotten a few rides there too! So, IMO, it is a great improvement over Genie plus.

Now, I will add that Remy never showed up to grab later at any point in the day, so if that is a must do, I would have an Epcot day where you choose that as a Group 1....

So can you purchase llmp for the group and buy the ILL for say ride for just 2 people of your group.

What’s the best way to book days for the whole trip? Do they make you check out after each day selections or the entire trip? I’d like to maximize getting the rides for each day by having my husband do a couple while I do some but not sure how it works

I've been trying to keep up with this thread but I haven't read everything, so perhaps this has been answered already.

Can you book only 1 attraction, say, a tier 1, in advance, tap into the park, then book 2 other LLMPs, maybe even at other parks (I have an AP) and perhaps also tier 1s?

Or do I have to have 3 LLMPs booked in advance in order to keep a total of 3 going at all times?

I'm thinking back to ye olden dayes of FP+ when I'd book ITtBaB just so I could have my 3rd attraction, even though I'd never in a zillion years ever see those bugs again!

Thanks!

My understanding is that you can do that, but you need to tap into your first attraction first. I'm not sure why you would do that though. You'd be better off booking *something* and then modifying it for something better once you've tapped into your first attraction.

Has anyone had any issues with having multiple charges on their credit cards and having their credit card blocked during transactions? I mean honestly, I can definitely see this happening as a credit card companies will get suspicious seeing so many transactions happening within a matter of minutes.

I can confirm that as expected my person with only a Halloween party ticket could not get any lightning lanes for the park including tron.
Great thanks for the update and confirmation that you need a hopper to get lightning lines in multiple parks. That's what we were discussing yesterday.

Yes you could book only 1 attraction but why would you want to do that since there will be very few Tier 1 same day until later in the day?

You are never required to book and hold 3 it is always up to 3 on a rolling basis.

yes, my husband's friend had to call his CC company because they shut him down. He's there now on a 10 day trip with seven people so...

Yes there were reports last week. It happens when the Credit Card's Fraud algorithm thinks there is strange behavior. To many charges over a short period time and in some cases they were in the hundreds of dollars as guests were make selections for larger groups.

That's one option but if you don't make multiple charges normally over short periods make a quick call to your credit card number on the back of your card. They can note this just situation like then they request that you to notify them before you travel to another country. It's all about patterns and exceptions.

It may also happen when you have multiple people sharing the same credit card number to make multiple purchases at the same time if you have 2 guests trying to purchase multiple days of LLMP at the same time.
