Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Are you trying to do it as part of the purchase process or after you have made the purchase? If you are trying to buy a different selection for someone in your group as part of your purchase, I don't think you can. Here is what the Disneyworld website says:
  1. When purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Passes for your travel party, you’ll be prompted to select up to 3 multi pass attractions or experiences—which must be the same for each member of your travel party at that time.
  2. After completing your purchase, you can modify the selected experiences and arrival windows for some members of your travel party, subject to availability.
Sorry, but I can't give you a step-by-step on how to modify the selections for that one person after you have bought his/her LLMP. If that's what you're asking, hopefully someone else can answer that.
Sorry about the double post. Yes, I have all three of us on ToT but I have to remove one person and assign a different attraction to them. I don't see how to deselect that one person. Thanks!

IMO, it seems to be another disappointing day with LLMP. The availability to book beyond the 3 is just too limited. Reserving slots beyond the 3 will require a good amount of phone time. Logically, something seems off in the number of slots offered. From the video it seems as if the LL were nearly empty, yet no availability? I'd rather wait 5-10 minutes to ride and be able to book more attractions throughout the day. Nate said the rides he rode were basically walk-ons.

Can someone explain this to me... we are going to parks for three days with park hopper. 7 days in advance we can choose three rides at the park we are going to on the first day of the trip. I won't be able to choose rides at the park that we are going to the second day until we finish the first park day. Correct? Hope I explained it correctly.

Are you staying on-site or off-site and what type of tickets do you have?

With any type of ticket you can book at least 3 days before your park day. You don't have to wait until you actually use your first day to purchase additional days. The window for these per-arrival purchases depends on if you are on-site (7 days), off-site depends on your ticket type.

I haven’t seen this answered anywhere: any word on whether the Single Pass times can be modified? Hated the idea you were locked in when buying same-day, but now buying 7+ days in advance? What if plans change?
I used the app chat feature and got this information:

Single Pass times can be modified subject to availability

Guests with split stays can only book for the length of each resort stay. So:

Resort 1: 8/10 - 8/13
Resort 2: 8/13 - 8/17

I can book on 8/3 ONLY for 8/10 to 8/13.

For the second stay, you can book EITHER (whichever is earlier):
Three days before the start of the ticket
OR
Seven days before the second resort stay

Because of the way my dates work, both those options point to 8/7 to book for the second stay.

When I asked the agent to pass on that this was crummy, they tried to put a positive spin on it (You can book in advance!) which really rubbed me the wrong way. I told this person that I would just as soon use the Genie+ system day-of so everyone had a level playing field since I’ll be locked out of booking for 8/14 through 8/17 while those who don’t split their stay can book for those four days. 🤬

I took a look 2pm today and was surprised how much was available at AK and MK, many of them starting in the next 15 to 70 mins. Granted I know little about this system but thought if I had already completed my 3 booked rides and was able to select 3 of these - happy camper.

Shoot.

I thought others have been saying you can book through all of your splits 7 days before your first stay.

We will be staying at a Disney resort. My husband has tickets with park hopper. I have the non expiration ticket with park hopper. I was told I could start 7 days before our stay. I just don't understand this whole thing. I would go on and book 3 rides and we would go to the park 1st day of our trip. Then when do we book the lightning for the other days?

Just as a data point. RotR Single Pass is already sold out for tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday at the moment.

ETA: add Saturday and Sunday

Tuesday, 30th as well. Decided I would just add it now and couldn't believe it was gone! Wondering if people are skipping LLMP and putting the money towards Single Passes.

Take everything that a Disney Chat CM shares with you with a very large grain of salt. Single Pass and Multi Pass Experiences are all modifiable subject to availability.

There were many reports yesterday that on-site guests were able to book beyond the first resort split. We should have exact confirmations soon.

You can book all your LLMP / LLSP 7 days before your resort arrival date. You are not limited to just one day. Just a reminder each day of LLMP LLSP are completed one day at a time in a single transaction. but you can make multiple days of selection and purchases at your 7 day start point.

Seems logical. LLSP over LLMP. Especially since LLMP is 1 tier ride and two 2 tier rides or just three 2 tier rides. Where LLSP is the better Tier 1 ride of all the Tier 1 LLMP rides. If I were going to the parks soon, I would prioritize LLSP. That way I'm not on my phone all day and can choose what to do spontaneously before and/or after LLSP. More flexibility in the day. Truly important to have flexibility with rides going down too. Might be better too if a ride experiences a temporary closure to grab and snack and wait nearby for reopening making it almost walk-on or extremely low wait.

I’m hearing there’s a loophole right now, that everybody is getting length of ticket starting 7 days before check-in. So even 1 night stay gets the same as a 2 week non-split stay. Sounds like split stay would not matter at this point. If the loophole gets fixed… who knows which way it’ll go. I’m curious if others have seen this reported as well.

Oh, so you could be one night in a value and the rest off-site, and still get 7 day booking window for your whole trip. Can't imagine that will last!

Right- but can only add on one at a time, so hard to say if others you want will still be avail when you’re allowed to book another.

I think as the next couple of weeks evolve, Disney will adjust and users will figure out how to maximize with all the tips and tricks here and elsewhere, just like we did with FP+ and G+… time will tell but I’m hopeful.

That’s what I heard but not 100% certain yet, as it’s just been a few mentions here and there.
