Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I'm sorry I cannot find the answer to this anywhere. How do I change a lightening lane for just one person in the group? I see nowhere to deselect the other group members and select a new attraction for just one person.
TIA!

Now that the way to reserve LL's has changed, is there a website like Thrill Data that is tracking what is left days out? We go to MK on day 2 of our arrival, and are only going for three nights. So, I am curious if we will even stand a chance to get on Tron and Tiana, if others can buy out all of the LL's up to 14 days earlier (those with longer trips).

Was just hoping that there may be somewhere tracking over the next few days when things are selling out for the future days. Thrill Data seems to mostly show the day of? I was checking out Thrill Data because Disney wont' allow people to check selections that are available when tickets aren't good yet. I'm worried that since we are going for a short time, we will be at a disadvantage. But guess I shouldn't complain, international and offsite are even more disadvantaged.

Third party sites have no access to Disney systems thats why they only have day of data.
I figured, but some engineering sites used to track it back in the day with the old FP system. Was worth a shot to see if anyone was trying to give it a go.

I’m taking my family of 6 in September. I have never liked the idea of “pay to play”. I believe the playing field should be level for everyone - from the family who had to scrimp to come to those not worried about the extra cost. I’ve been in both camps. When my son was younger we went on the super budget spectrum-stayed in either timeshares my aunt gifted us or hotels I now shudder to think about, no hoppers, QS meals only and luckily for me a kids meal was usually enough for me, very rarely did I let him get a snack, we packed our own snacks and ate offsite, etc. Many years later I can afford to stay onsite and “pay to play” but Disney needs to realize that this means that while I normally have one table service meal each day (most of them price fixe) I am no longer doing that. You can have my money one way OR the other but not both. This upcoming trip we only have two sit down meals (dinner in the Castle and Artist Pointe). The kids are being limited to souvenirs-they have their own money and grandma will supplement some. Again Disney you’re forcing a choice between over priced merchandise and the ride system. I think they’re probably making more money on MLL and LL so don’t care about the per guest expenditure they are losing on food and merchandise.

IMHO “pay to play” needs to go away. Everyone should be treated equal once they step through those turnstiles.

Stepping down from soapbox md thanks for listening
I agree. They'll make their money somehow, but leave the rides alone.

Everyone should have a chance at a decent wait time, not just those with extra $$.

FWIW - and could have been a little glitch - but in the Paging Mr Morrow (Nate) video I posted earlier - he did show that it would have let him book PotC a second time....

So are we sure that you only get to book a LL for each attraction only once per day?
I did see that but he didn't actually click on Pirates again. I wonder if there would have been a prompt that he already booked and used that attraction had he actually tried to book it for a second time. That OR because it's the first day not all was working as it was supposed to. But I do feel like if you could use a pass for the same attraction like with FP+ it would have been something Disney made note of with their literature on the newer system.

Spot on. The more they think they can extract from me, the tighter I control my spend out of spite.

I get $50 a day ticket (UK 14 day passes). I spend nothing on Disney's poor food offerings. I buy no cheap plastic tat from China. I wait in the SB lines. I love the entertainment and watching people enjoy the parks. I love not living on my phone all day. I love the spontaneity of choosing my parks and times on the day and not paying Disney to let them know where I'll be.

Once people realise that they are paying $29 to get FotL access to Dumbo 2 minutes ahead of me they might come to their senses. Then again they probably wont.

.
So some of my thoughts after Day One of prebooking
- Easy to get the return times I was looking for and figuring out the overlap issue.
- DO NOT like the removal of being able to overlap the LLs when going through the prebook. This makes things confusing especially when the app is showing an earlier time for something else and you cannot modify it. Thankfully you can overlap MPLL and SPLL.
I expect Disney to be able to fix this. They should allow overlapping when prebooking MPLL as it is the guests decision to do that.
- the return times shown for modifying are incorrect.
So did you have time options in your initial purchase or did the system just give you one choice for a ride? Did you purchase what was “offered” and then modify? What was incorrect about return times shown for modifying? Thanks for any details you can provide!

I saw an earlier post that said it appears that the system knows when you have dining reservations or other scheduled things like BBB and gives you times that do not conflict.

Has anyone found that to be accurate?

Are you trying to do it as part of the purchase process or after you have made the purchase? If you are trying to buy a different selection for someone in your group as part of your purchase, I don't think you can. Here is what the Disneyworld website says:
  1. When purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Passes for your travel party, you’ll be prompted to select up to 3 multi pass attractions or experiences—which must be the same for each member of your travel party at that time.
  2. After completing your purchase, you can modify the selected experiences and arrival windows for some members of your travel party, subject to availability.
Sorry, but I can't give you a step-by-step on how to modify the selections for that one person after you have bought his/her LLMP. If that's what you're asking, hopefully someone else can answer that.

So am I able to pick Magic Kindom multi pass (pick my selections) but do early entry to Animal Kingdom to ride Flight of Passage?

Yes it is a little confusing since you pick your group first when purchasing your pre arrival LLMP selections. However when you want to Modify a LLMP selection for a subset or even (1) member you select the Experience first and as part of the Modification processes as you pick the new Experience / time. You will have an option to deselect multiple members so the modification will only be for a subset of your group.

Watching tip board availability for MK day 2. Again, very limited availability for tier 2 attractions late afternoon and early evening. Felt like with G+ we could still find multiple chances for those same rides. Maybe it will change but…

If this continues I won’t buy. Stand bys seem manageable enough.

The value is just not there for me to get 4-5 rides spread over an entire open to close day- exhausting.

Will probably just go the time of day we want to be there and not worry about LL at all.

That’s very freeing in a way 😂

Wonder they should offer 2 separate packages.

A cheaper option that gives you 3 pre-booked LLMP but no more (One tier 1, Two tier 2)

Then the existing one that gives you additional LLMP as you use the first 3.

Too confusing?

I’m sure it’s discussed somewhere in this thread but when booking multiple days of Multipass do you have to do each day separate or do them all at once?

Each day separate. You only have 5 minutes to make your initial selections and modify the time window. Once you complete the transaction for 1 day you can go back and make additional selections for your next day.

I haven’t seen this answered anywhere: any word on whether the Single Pass times can be modified? Hated the idea you were locked in when buying same-day, but now buying 7+ days in advance? What if plans change?
