Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Another question: In the screen where you modify LL times before finalizing the purchase, are you able to change one ride to another, or just to change the times?
Yes but after you make your selections (1-3), they are only held for 5 minutes total while you make changes to your selections and/or time before they expire and you will need to start over.

If you are booking for multiple days at multiple parks, do you check out individually or all at once? Do you need to do the entire trip in 5 min?

I have been studying the maps because I'm not familiar with the layout of the parks. Can you help with suggestions for a couple of good burner rides towards the front of each park?
Epcot - Is Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival easy to do early? How long is it?
DHS - Is Frozen easy to do early? How about Beauty & the Beast?
MK - Would Monsters Inc be good or should I go in the opposite direction and choose Magic Carpets of Aladdin?
AK - I assume Bugs Life is the closest and most central. Is that correct?

I’ve never done those shows in Epcot or HS. Monsters Inc is such a good show (and normally I don’t do shows). It’s probably about the same walking distance. And It’s Tough To Be A Bug closes very soon to be rethemed to Zootopia but yes, it is very central

It runs 18 minutes. Are you entering Epcot from the Front entrance since it is further back at the Imagination Pavilion. Do you actually stay for the show or just use it as a true burner to tap in and unlock Tiers?

DHS - Is Frozen easy to do early? How about Beauty & the Beast?
Frozen is a 30 minute show and B&B is a scheduled theater show. Do you actually plan to stay for the show or just use it as a burner to tap in and unlock Tiers?

Again it is not convenient to the entrance but it is only 10 minutes long.

Tough to be a bug closes permanently on 3/17.

For Epcot, we'll be entering from the front. Spaceship Earth would be better, right?

For DHS, I was thinking we would head to ToT and R&R Coaster to try to knock those out w/o a LL and then ride them again later with a LL. Since B&B is in that direction, I thought it might be a good attraction to tap in for and keep moving (ie. not watch it). I'm not sure how practical that is. Is there a better ride to try to book as a burner in DHS?

I think I was getting the closing date of Tough to be a Bug mixed up with Muppets. Do you have a suggestion for a different burner in AK?

Which LL is closest to the entrance for MK?

Spaceship Earth is definitely the closest in Epcot. Mickey and Minnie’s is the closest LL to the entrance in HS and is very central, but you don’t want to waste that LL if you actually want to ride. At MK there aren’t any LL attractions close to the entrance so honestly Monsters Inc is probably a good choice if you’re just trying to scan in asap. There’s nothing else really close to the entrance at AK either. My plan when I go is to probably just do Dinosaur first since I actually want to ride that. Or Na’vi River Journey on the way to standby for Flight of Passage (my experience, which is a couple years old, is that while Flight of Passage technically has the longest line at park opening since everyone goes there first it moves much faster because they don’t give out nearly as many LLs the first couple hours)

The first Beauty and the Beast show is usually at 11:00. Since it sounds like you'll be in the park long before then, it doesn't work as your burner. You can't tap in to it at 9:00 or so. For the First time in Forever usually has its first show at 9:30, so that may work better. I believe you can tap in to it as early as 9:05. It doesn't make sense to tap in to that show and stay for the show that early in the morning though. You can use that precious first hour to ride relatively short lines standby then. You can see the show later in the day without an LL on most days with a short standby wait.

I was looking and thought in MK either Monsters Inc or Buzz Lightyear based on the map I had. Is either of those shorter on actual time in the show/ride?

Buzz is MUCH shorter than Monsters Inc. Monsters Inc basically has a whole preshow before you go in and the length of the actual show is pretty decent. Buzz has no preshow and the ride is probably 5 minutes

Thanks. Do the attractions with pre-shows have double stations for LL tap in? It there a list somewhere of which attractions you need to tap in twice?

I've looked but can't find the answer. I happen to be going to WDW at the same time as a friend of mine whom I've previously traveled with to the parks. I was the lead guest for our previous trip, and she is on my friends and family list. Her LL selections are showing up with my LL selections. How can I make the app display only my LL selections.

You need to adjust your Family & Friends setting on your MDE app.

From the MDE Select the Main Menu Screen ( 3 horizontal lines Icon on lower right from the major screens ).

1. Scroll down to the Profile link under the Account section.
2. Click it to open your My Profile
3. Select the Family & Friends list tab (second line on the screen)
4. Select your Friend's Name fro your F & F list
5. You have 2 options: Remove from My List | Choose Which Plans Linda can See
6. Select the Only Plans We Share Radio button

On the day of your park visit but before entering the park, are you able to increase the overlap on your LLs? (Pending availability of course) Or do you have to wait until you tap in to a ride?

You can actually modify your selections as soon as you make them, even 7+ days out. You don't need to wait until day-of or until you enter a park. Using modify, you can overlap quite a bit (we had a few that were 30-40 minutes of overlap) - as you said, pending availability.

I have been able to overlap 20 minutes or so but not more than that. My concern is actually that on the day of our MK visit I was unable to get a LL for Tiana. I would like to take advantage of the drops at 45 minutes after the hour before we arrive at the park at 10, and wondered if it would let me pick one up (or even see it!) if it overlapped too much with an existing LL.

I haven't actually seen any specific limit on overlapping times yet. Earlier this month, we did overlap as much as 40 minutes, but that was at EPCOT, not MK - not sure if the different parks handle it differently, but I don't think so. I expect your results will be based more on availability than it will be based on any time restrictions. I always see the 'warning' message telling me I have something scheduled during that time - but overlapping LLs is definitely allowed through modify prior to day-of. As for day-of options with something that's totally booked like Tiana, I don't have experience there...... not sure you need to enter MK or tap into one of your other LLs to allow you to book, if they do make some additional time drops throughout the day.
