Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

No. The 2-hour rule is dead. You can only have three active LLMP selections at a time. Expired LLMPs don't count toward the limit of three, even if you are within the grace period and can still ride them. Multi-Experience passes (MEPs, aka anytime passes, aka experience redemptions and a few other names) also do not count toward your limit of three.
Thanks....
Our 7 days is coming up soon, so just trying to plan the logistics and timing... i was nice to be able to stack for later, but new strategy it is :P

When prebooking, roughly how much overlap might I expect to get between return times? More specifically, would the system let me book 3 return times between 9 AM and 11AM?

Well by default you should be able to get a 9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM or 5, 10, or 15 minutes after each hour. Do you have any ADR items on your days around 11-12?

You can use your 5 minute LLMP and/or LLSP purchase window to adjust your overlap times.

I’ve read this whole thread but forgot to write down the grace period after missing a Lightning Lane window.

Is there a standard amount of time, or is it cast-member dependent?

The semi-official (not posted anywhere) buffers are 5 minutes before your return window starts and 15 minutes after your window expires. Outside of these 2 windows it is at the CM desecration if the Mickey on the Tapstile turns Blue.

Thanks. Yes, I forgot to include that we hope to have 11 AM ADRs on some days, which is why I’m concerned. If it doesn’t work out to get all three before the ADR, how long does the system allow for the ADR, i.e., if we have an ADR at 11 what’s the earliest after 11 it will let us book one?

2 hours is the unofficial grace period (you’ll tap green with no CM override needed). Once in a blue moon the window won’t be open that long and CM isn’t required to let you in after your official 1 hour window closes, so if it’s something you really want to ride do try to make your window.

We’ve been trying to establish this- 90 mins sound right with everyone’s experiences?

With an 11am ADR you will not get 3 rides from 9-11 and you may have issues even getting 2 as you would need them exactly on the hour (9am, 10am).

As of earlier this month, it worked with no issues. Scanned in green up to 2 hours after the window expired, no dining reservation required…
I used the 2 hour window a couple times in Sept. It’s been like this for some time now. There are sporadic reports of it not working but they are by far the outliers.

How much time is blocked off for a dining reservation? I’m trying to figure out what times I want to book my 3 rides but I have a bunch of dining to work around. So if I have a lunch at 12pm would I be able to book a 1pm ride or is that blocked?

And sorry I just saw that someone asked that above me. So it seems it’s 90 minutes it’s blocked? Can you modify it closer after booking it or the block stays no matter what?

Is there anyway to get around this without having to cancel my 11:30 ADRs?

Thanks. I’ll take this into account when making ADRs this week.

Did any of your LLMP selections "disappear" from your list but still work with in your 2 hour window? There were a few reports of this behavior and guests were taking a screenshot to keep track.

Let us know how close you’re able to get it! Good luck!!

Don’t recall if they disappeared from MDE after expiration, I would not be surprised. (I kept track of stuff in a note at the time trying to preserve my battery from MDE hogging it lol.)

We have 2 people joining us joining us in the same hotel and plans 3 days after we start. Will we be able to book theirs during our 7 day window? Or book our first 3 days then wait to book everyone's on their first day 3 days later? Thanks.

Only if they are on your reservation. If their reservation starts 3 days later then they LLMP and/or LLSP date is 3 days after you arrive. Just having them linked in your MDE does not count.

I would split your LLMP and/or LLSP and book your first 3 days and then work with them to book the remaining days if you plan to tour the parks together.

I messed up booking our lightning lane my parents decided they wanted to go to animal kingdom one of the days we are going to magic kingdom but I selected them for our rides. Is there a way to cancel it for them or move their rides to animal kingdom?
