Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I messed up booking our lightning lane my parents decided they wanted to go to animal kingdom one of the days we are going to magic kingdom but I selected them for our rides. Is there a way to cancel it for them or move their rides to animal kingdom?
You should be able to modify their reservations to AK but will not be issued a refund for the lesser priced AK LLMP.

Yes you are able to modify the LLMP and/or LLSP selections as @scrappinginontario however it is a slightly different process than the initial purchase steps.

You select the attraction you want to modify and then select a different Park you want to switch to, select a new attraction, and then you select who in your travel party this modification should be included / not included before your final step.

Did you chat Disney to get just their MPLL refunded? That would be my preferred approach as MPLL AK is cheaper than MK so it would be best for them to refund MK and purchase AK fresh.

I did end up calling and they were able to remove them and refund the money. They hadn’t wanted fast passes for that day originally so this worked out best.

Sorry if this has been answered. If I want to purchase a LLMP for tomorrow (AP holder, not a hotel guest), will I be able to see the specific availability with time options before I actually pay? I tried to walk through it on the MDE app, but I'm afraid to press the last 'continue' button in fear that it will charge my card without showing me the options. Or do I have to pay for the LLMP before even seeing what times and attractions are available?

Yes that's an improvement over Genie+ you get to actually select your attractions and they are held for 5 minutes before you need to actually complete the purchase step.

We are staying off-site next week (shorter trip), and I started playing around today with it.........and noticed that everything was late afternoon/evening. I was HOPING to get my 3 rides in the morning--and then park hop in the later afternoon/evening--but from looks of it, not sure that is going to be possible? Did you get any AM rides available for hte initial 3--or did you also see just afternoon times? I'm not sure I want to risk modifying and hoping for earlier times either.
This may be a dumb question but how do you play around with it? My 7 days opens tomorrow and it would be nice not going in blind

You really can't play around with it unless you have an active ticket and can navigate past the select your travel party. But you can practice selecting the different parks and and the basic layout of the function. Do you have tickets that are valid today or as would be the normal process they don't start until tomorrow.

If you have an AP and a park reservation you could test today but not actually purchase after making your LLMP and/or LLSP selections.

I’m not eligible to pick until tomorrow, I must have misunderstood your post, I thought you could actually see what’s available for times even if you aren’t eligible to purchase yet.

No worries this new process can be confusing. I was discussing the actual purchase process of LLMP and/or LLSP vs the old Genie+ system. With Genie+ you had to purchase it blind and now with LLMP and/or LLSP you get to actually make your selections before completing the purchase step. A big improvement.

Good luck tomorrow.

It's not the same as playing around with MDE, but there are third party sites that show what are the earliest return times currently available. E.g.: https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/lightning-lane

Okay, question:
Two people but we can't have one person doing LLSP and another do LLMP, we have to split by park.

For HS:
Is it better to book LLSP before LLMP? Slinky is high on the list but RotR is higher.

For Epcot:
Same question as HS.

For AK:
Same question as HS.

We are staying 4 nights/5 days:
Day 2: AK
Day 3: Epcot
Day 4: HS

First when are you going? We don't need your exact dates but please let us know the time frame. Examples: Thanksgiving, Early December, Holiday week, after January 2nd.

Why do you have to split by park vs LLMP and LLSP? Do you have 2 MDE accounts that you could use?

How important is RoTR to you? It sometimes sells out. Will you be staying on-site or off-site that impacts the choices but in general you should be able book both within your 5 minutes hold time to complete a day's purchase steps.

Week after Thanksgiving.

I have my reasons for why park by park. Please just accept that is what will happen.

I think RotR is priority for HS. Star wars area in general is priority, followed by Frozen Sing Along and TSMM.
Staying on-site.

Hey all, I have a specific question re: LLMP usage:

We are going as a family of four. However, one of us sadly still has to work in the mornings and won't be able to join the rest of the group in the parks until noon on some days we plan to buy LLMP. I know the best strategy is to use up an LL early in the day to open up Tier 1 selections, but this doesn't work if the LL expires-- so how can we coordinate with the one latecomer?

Is there a way we can just tap his LL as well without him being there so that the whole group is able to book future LLs together? Or should I just give up on this and resign myself to booking all our LLs later in the day?

OK should be much less competition for popular LLMP attractions that week. Are you on-site or off-site since

No worries it is just some guests don't quite know how to split the booking of LLMP and/or LLSP on the same day which leads to delays in the purchase step. Again will you have 2 MDE account's available to make your selections for alternating days on your advance purchase date?

It should not be an issue getting a LLSP for RoTR and getting a SDD for your HS day that week.

For Epcot:
Same question as HS.
GoTG should be easy to get at either 3 days (off-site) before or 7 days (on-site) before your Epcot date. You are also able to book a LLSP for GoTG and try for a Virtual Queue at 7 AM or 1 PM (if you have entered Epcot).

Your challenge will be if you want Frozen and Remy since they are both a Tier 1 so you can't pre-select both. Are you planning to get to Epcot early and take advantage of the on-site EE if you qualify?

I would make your up to 3 LLMP selections first but at Epcot you could also make your LLMP and your GoTG selection in the same transaction without any issue.

For AK:
Same question as HS.
At AK there is only FoP for LLSP and again it has not been an issue with advance purchase. Same day it does sell out. Get your up to 3 LLMP selections first.

No not if your "afternoon" arriving group member is not arriving at the park until afternoon. To unlock LLMP Tiers and Multi Park function if you have a Hopper ticket, your "afternoon" group member must enter the park first and then tap into a LLMP to unlock both options.

You can't just tap them into LLMP selections and make new selections for them until they catch up with your group. Do you have an idea as to when they might be able to meet you in a park?

No, we're not doing park hopping.
I was wondering if there was a way to either 1) take his ticket/Magicband and use it to tap him on, or 2) ask a CM at the attraction to use up that LL for him when the rest of our party taps in.

Otherwise he wouldn't reach the parks until probably 12-1pm-- which sharply decreases the value of LLMP, since we'd have to arrange all our bookings to be in the afternoon & also likely won't be able to pick up new multipass selections.
