Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I was wondering if there was a way to either 1) take his ticket/Magicband and use it to tap him on, or 2) ask a CM at the attraction to use up that LL for him when the rest of our party taps in.
No on item 1). The guest must tap into the park to make LLMP work. On item 2). CMs at the attraction and at the Blue Umbrella Guest Experience Team (GET) have assisted guests with making adjustments but that was in the early days of LLMP (July-August). They have been less flexible recently since this is actually bypassing the intended function of the system. AKA Guests were abusing this workaround.

Otherwise he wouldn't reach the parks until probably 12-1pm-- which sharply decreases the value of LLMP, since we'd have to arrange all our bookings to be in the afternoon & also likely won't be able to pick up new multipass selections.
No you could still make your LLMP selections early and start using them when you enter the park. There are a few ways to chose how to merge your "Afternoon" member of your group into your LLMP strategy as your day develops.

Personally I would chose to not include them in the initial LLMP pre-purchase group process and then just book a LLMP for them in a separate transaction and only chose 1 LLMP attraction for them after 1 PM. Yes you could pick 3 for them but it just complicates the scheduling as you try to merge them into your group LLMP selections.

Thanks a lot!
I know we can split up into a group of 3 and buy the 1 person's LLMP separately, however I worry that if we pick up an LLMP for a ride we all want to go on in the AM before he arrives, then we'll be leaving him out of that ride-- especially since our most affected park day is Magic Kingdom, where most of the rides are family friendly. And if we don't do this, then we can only really use the LLMP in the morning to pick up rides we want to ride immediately.

Why worry just make your additional LLMP selections and add this "Afternoon" guest using their 2 additional pre-selected LLMP that you initially left blank. It is simply a little pre-planning. You usually can't get more than about 2 or 3 crammed into your time before 12-1 PM anyway.

And if we don't do this, then we can only really use the LLMP in the morning to pick up rides we want to ride immediately.
No again why are you trying to make this complex? You can continue to make additional LLMP selections are you use each of your LLMP selections. If you happen to ride a LLMP attraction that you later want to ride as a group of 4 there is always the Standby Queue.

That way your group of 3 gets a second ride on a LLMP attraction and your "Afternoon" guest is able to you as a group. Please don't try to overthink the very simple process of LLMP usage during your park day.

OK should be much less competition for popular LLMP attractions that week. Are you on-site or off-site since

No worries it is just some guests don't quite know how to split the booking of LLMP and/or LLSP on the same day which leads to delays in the purchase step. Again will you have 2 MDE account's available to make your selections for alternating days on your advance purchase date?

It should not be an issue getting a LLSP for RoTR and getting a SDD for your HS day that week.

GoTG should be easy to get at either 3 days (off-site) before or 7 days (on-site) before your Epcot date. You are also able to book a LLSP for GoTG and try for a Virtual Queue at 7 AM or 1 PM (if you have entered Epcot).

Your challenge will be if you want Frozen and Remy since they are both a Tier 1 so you can't pre-select both. Are you planning to get to Epcot early and take advantage of the on-site EE if you qualify?

I would make your up to 3 LLMP selections first but at Epcot you could also make your LLMP and your GoTG selection in the same transaction without any issue.

At AK there is only FoP for LLSP and again it has not been an issue with advance purchase. Same day it does sell out. Get your up to 3 LLMP selections first.

Dave
Yes, there are 2 MDE accounts, myself and my friend who's also on the trip. We have already connected as friends & family.

So for HS, should I go for LLSP or LLMP first? I'm glad it won't be difficult though.

Okay, good to hear about GotG. Yeah, we do want Remy and Frozen BUT, I think Remy is more popular so I was thinking getting Remy first and maybe a Frozen will be available or just wait until late evening when the line is usually less. Most likely won't be waking up for the early access since we will be up late at the party before. I was thinking get there around 8:30-9:30am

Okay, so overall you think reserving LLMP first for all parks would be best?

Ok so its the night before my LL purchase and I am "practicing" and I chose a date and a park and then it shows all the people but says need valid admission to this park. BUT I swear when I practiced this the other day it showed those names and said the actual dates that we could start making our LL's. Intead of tonight just saying "need valid admission". Maybe I'm just panicking or I dreamt that.

Ok ignore me! LOL basically a combo of panic and stupidity I got it figured out now. 👍

New wrinkle for iPhone users of Notes- I stored my gc info in Notes last night. I then accepted the new iCloud terms when prompted by Apple. This morning all my notes were gone. (Thankfully I had the physical gc at the ready & made the note again before booking).

Common phenomenon apparently. After booking I troubleshooted it. My notes came back turning my phone off and on again, other people say you just have to go into Settings, Notes, enable On My iPhone.

What triggered the new iCloud terms to be presented to you? Did you update the iOS, get a new phone? I ask because I have multiple Notes and haven't encountered that issue yet, and I want to avoid it!

I got a notification with the new terms yesterday that wasn’t triggered by anything. I accepted the terms and it didn’t affect my notes at all…thank goodness! I use notes for lots of things.

First time LLMP user here. I have friends flying in who have already purchased and selected their 3 rides for this weekend at MK tomorrow and HS Saturday - as resort guests they were able to do this a few days ago and I just received their schedule. I'm a local AP holder, so today I attempted to purchase for myself in the hope I can match up the ride times as closely as possible.

I was only able to match times on 1 of 3 rides in each park, so didn't pull the trigger. But I'm wondering how likely it might be that I'd be able to modify on the fly once the day starts? Since it would only be a change for a single rider (me), is it likely I'd be able to adjust? The rides at MK they have are Pirates, Thunder Mountain and Haunted Mansion. I could only get BTM at the same time as them (which is the one I don't actually mind skipping!). At HS, they have Alien Saucers, MFSR and Tower of Terror. I think it was the Saucers that I could get at a similar time.

Should I take my chances or is it unlikely to be able to modify on the day, given it might be a busy weekend?

From your description it appears you had your "Notes" in the iCloud so you could share with other devices.

That would explain the pattern you experienced with them disappearing and then returning when you restarted your iPhone. For things like saving your GC number you can chose to create your "Note" on your iPhone directly. Just navigate back up to your "Folders" view "<" icon on the top left of the Notes app if you are not sure where your notes are located.

I ask because I have multiple Notes and haven't encountered that issue yet, and I want to avoid it!
See above about creating a specific Note on your iPhone vs on the iCloud or Shared. For these specific Notes I keep them on my device.

Normally the new Ts&Cs process should be seamless unless there is any lag communicating with the Apple Cloud and your Notes are in your iCloud Folders vs "On My iPhone".

First don't try to match their return start window but just try for overlapping times within the 1 hr period.

Yes you will have more flexibility to Modify your selections on day of your park visit to have more overlap. Did you use the 5 minute hold period to attempt Modify? Try it again and make sure to spend your full 5 minutes (Time is shown in the middle of the top of the screen).

Yes Modifying for 1 is much easier than for a larger group.

Thanks - I must have my many Notes in the iCloud already, because they sync automatically between my iPhone and iPad. A few of them also are shared with my DH, like our grocery list. Nothing has changed with them recently, even though I got a new iPhone a couple of months ago and have updated the iOS each time a new version is offered, so I’ll stop worrying about this! 🙂

Thanks! Yes, I tried to modify the selections during the 5 minute hold period. And I was looking for overlapping times, but could only get one for each day that was close to something they had. I'll try again and keep playing with it.

No I have an older iPhone, some people have been asked some haven’t. 1 person I know with the same phone has been asked but others haven’t, I guess it’s a slow rollout for us who use iCloud. There was a thread on Apple forums of people having the issue I suddenly had after accepting the terms so I thought it warranted a share that it’s easily fixable. Link

Sorry if this has already been answered. My husband will be on our resort reservation for 8 nights but will probably only be going to the parts for 5 days. Can we make kuggyteningvlane reservations for the 4 of us the days he won’t be there and then make them for 5 the days he will?

Yes you select your travel party early in the LLMP and/or LLSP purchase process for each day's advanced purchase. For days that there will only be 4 guests just only the 4 that will actually be using LLMP and/or LLSP.

For days when all 5 plan to be in the parks for LLMP and/or LLSP select "All" 5 of you for your advanced purchases.

Dave

Today is my day to buy LLMP and I keep getting error messages. Is it down or something?
