Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

If we plan to do AK in the morning and DHS in the evening and decide to book my LLMP at DHS can I edit them that morning to switch my tier 2 rides to tier 1? Or must I use my first one before I can do that?

Trying to decide if it makes sense to book at DHS or to book at AK (we would use them. They wouldn’t be throwaways) and book my additional rides for DHS and hope to get Tier 1s.

You can only hold one tier 1 ride at a time.

It will not move to a Standby queue until the ride reliability improves...

You don't need a Tier 1 to swap but you should purchase your LLMP before your MK day to save time when you try to modify one of your LLMP selections to Tiana. An attraction modification is faster then going through the entire selection and purchase process all at 1 time. Disney has been adding additional availability Tiana for "day of" selection so check back before 7 AM on your MK day.

If you wait until 7 AM on your MK day to try to purchase a LLMP and include Tiana, you may miss the very limited window to grab one.

Again it will not move to a Standby queue until the ride reliability improves... When are you going to the MNSSHP?

Dave
I will be going to MNSSHP on August 30
edit to add: It makes sense to buy it before; something I didn't think through. Normally I wouldn't even buy a pass for MK, but my granddaughters really want to ride Tiana. I do plan to buy all the LLSPs for the parks except Tron.

No you can't make that edit. You must tap in to your park with LLMP and tap into your first LLMP attraction to unlock the Tier limit and also to be able to book additional LLMP attractions in any park.

Dave

I got all the attractions this morning that I wanted, but not necessarily great times. I’ve been modifying them here and there.
I am glad you were able to get the attractions you want.

I have read blog after blog that says the times are bad, the availability is bad and the option to change to a better time is almost obsolete. We are going at the beginning of December. I am not feeling "hopeful" about our options.

Only until you tap into your first LLMP attraction then the Tiers are gone an you can book and hold 3 of any available attraction.

Dave
From what I have read, once you do your tier 1, the opportunity to get another one is almost non-existent. :/

No Disney did not close any loophole since there was not one. Here is the relevant quote: starting 7 days before the first day of their Resort stay, for their length of stay (up to 14 days).

Dave
I'm talking about back when there was the original fp. Guests use to book ghost reservations to get the 60 day vs 30.

From what I have been reading, once you tap into your first attraction, regardless of which tier it is, you can book another LL for any tier. You may even be able to modify your other LL to a tier one as well. This is just what I've read so I haven't actually done this yet. So, it would pay to get any tier first thing in the morning, tap in and immediately try for another LL but a tier 1.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

That is simply not true today. We have already found a method to check for availability without refreshing the entire list of attractions.

What we don't know is how availability will during peak weeks at the parks.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I am speaking about availability.

Well it depends on what the overlap is... It will allow you to overlap your ADRs so make sure you allow time to eat.

Dave
Maybe the slight inconvenience of having the system mention overlapping reservations will prevent people from making so many more ADRs than they intend to use.

What method are you using? I had done the (plan) My Disney day, but there's still a lot of "fluff" that pops up, though I haven't actually used it yet, so I'm not sure what all will pop up under my day when it comes time to choose LLs

You're not kidding. I've been trying for 2 dining reservations for over a month. I was able to snag one around day 30, when people have to pay up or cancel their resort reservations. I finally gave up on the other.

"We can only wish but I don't expect it to change guests ADR behavior."

it's even worse now, with the 2 hour cancel. At least before you were able to get something a day or 2 before.

Did you go through the setup of your My Day? Just start with the "Get Started Now" button and don't add anything but your Favorite attractions. Also several of the Sections on My Day have 3 ... in the upper right of the section where you can "Remove that section from your My Day".

OT- Just set a dining alert. *********** has worked for me.

lol, blocked. Some searching and you’ll come across dining alert services that still work, don’t have to pay

On Sunday I will be able to pre-purchase Lightning Lanes for my upcoming WDW trip.

Does anyone know... Can I purchase the Multi Lightning Lane for MGM and an Individual Lightning Lane for Tron in the Magic Kingdom for later that evening?

It looks like I can click on Individual LL, buy it for Tron, and then go back and click on Multi LL and buy it for MGM. Is that correct?

Also, has anyone tried to have two people making reservations at the same time on two different devices?

Thanks! And here's hoping everyone's next WDW visit is Magical!!!
