Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I thought I had this all figured out but now reading this I'm not so sure. Do AP holders staying onsite have to book one day at a time, seven days in advance, or does staying onsite allow us to book the entire trip seven days before check in?
Your first guess is correct. An AP Guest staying on-site will be allowed to make LLMP / LLSP pre-arrival reservations 7 days before the first day of your stay up to 14 days in length (Disney 14 day limit on all reservations).

However you are supposed to have a park reservation for each park you plan to visit that is not a Good to Go day.

So the easiest way to explain this is:
Staying on property gets you 7 day booking for your entire stay up to 14 days (I think 14). The type of ticket takes on 2nd place.

Purchasing LLMP LLSP would be a nice perk for party goers, but on a day that is already limited park hours and less LLMP LLSP, I don’t like it for regular park ticket holders
That will be us on August 13 at MK. Add in a 2pm lunch reservation and I have to really think about buying LLMP for that day.

I might only buy the 2 LLSP rides and do LLMP for our second MK day

I am looking for the bullet points for the new LL. Like Lighting Lane for Dummies.
For example: LL costs XXX
you can have 3 until you use 1. Then you can add
This is how you join virtual que

Does that exist somewhere and can you direct me to it?
TIA

While not exactly the bullet points you’re looking for, this is the best and most comprehensive explanation I’ve seen to date:

I will be testing to see if a person with only a party ticket can book anything on Halloween party day on 8/1 when I make our hotel stay reservations. My daughter and I have AP’s and reserved MK that day but decided later to take her BF who I got the 4 day magic ticket for and I scheduled it to start the day after the Halloween party and he will have a party only ticket. I plan to look to see if we can book anything for him for the first party with only that ticket available for that date (after we book our other trip days since they matter more).
I will have had hand surgery before we go so I can’t ride rockin rollercoaster. I decided it will be easiest to book us all and for me to walk through the line tapping in and just go right on out the exit (assuming it has two tap points). That will be easier than waiting until my pass expires to book something else for all of us. I am trying to decide if I can ride space mountain. It is not so much the ride but more my ability to get out with one hand out of commission. I know that one has two tap points unfortunately. So I prob will have to walk in there with them too.

Anyone coming from the west coast....how have things been going as far as picking your rides? Getting up at 4 am doesn't sound great and wasn't sure if I should or wait till when I normally get up which is around 6.

It probably sounds like a great deal, but we guess that the FDA is in the pocket of the US food conglomerates and allow all kinds of hideous stuff in US food. UK isn't much better. So I cook meals from scratch in my DVC kitchen and avoid most ultra-processed "food" (it's not really food).

Take McDonald's salt sachet. Just contains salt? No. Four ingredients. If it wasn't so scary it would be funny.

Ingredients: Salt, Sodium Silicoaluminate, Dextrose, Potassium Iodide.
You're looking at Iodized salt where Iodine (a vital trace element) is deliberately added to support thyroid health. Sodium Silicoaluminate is an anti-caking agent so your salt doesn't clump together. Dextrose is needed to keep the iodine in the salt. If you don't want iodized salt, just use the plain Sodium Chloride (aka salt).

Also, stay away from McDonald's if you're seriously concerned about the hideous stuff.

Update: Blue umbrella came through and fixed our Tiana passes. You should receive an anytime pass in the event of a ride closure, so if you don't, go see them.

Also, the grace period today was 1 hour (at least in the afternoon accordingly to a CM at LL entrance) so that helped with the time it took to sort the Tiana thing.

Can confirm, even on super crazy day with lots of rides down, LL was fast. Like 3 minutes max. Maybe 7 for Tiana even though it was down half the day.

Data LLMP for Magic Kingdom 7/29 reported as a 3/10 crowd day.

This felt like our most crowded day so far, even though AK and DHS were reported as 5/10. A ton of rides were down at rope drop including 7DMT & Space Mountain. Tiana didn't even open until 11am. There was about an hour from about 3-4 where all outdoor rides were down and all indoor rides were 2x as long due to rainstorm.

We are a super inefficient group of 21, so this is a worst case scenario.

Rope drop was a bust, but our boarding group 5 for Tron was called at 8:45 AM, so we did that at 9:00, then tapped into pre-booked Pooh at 9:45 AM. We got #4 Jungle Cruise with 5:30 PM return time. (There was definitely day-of availability added)

Next Rode 10:10AM pre-booked Buzz and selected #5 BTMR also for identical overlapping 5:30pm return time.

We did walk-on People Mover, Mermaid, Tiki Room, Philharmonic, then lunch at BOG & resort break.

Rain poured down. Rides closed. Our 4pm Tiana LL disappeared with no multi-experence or anytime pass, but it opened up for us to book our next choice. I grabbed #6 for Space Mtn at 8:30pm.

Blue umbrella cast member fixed our Tiana passes and told us to go ride immediately since it would in all likelihood be closing early she said.

We rode Tiana at 6ish, then BTMR at 6:20pm and pulled a pass #7 for Pirates at 8:05pm.

Made it to jungle cruise at 6:45, just shy of the 15 min grace period, but they said grace periods were an hour today and let us on. We then pulled #8 for Magic Carpets at 7:10 pm and rode it immediately after, followed by a quick bite at Harbor House.

Of note, Haunted Mansion, Pooh, and surprisingly Tomorrowland Speedway were sold out when I pulled Pirates at 6:20.

When we went to ride Pirates, it had just shut down. I got another notice that something had been adjusted with my fp, but no multipass or anytime return pass. Must be a glitch right now, so ***do check your passes if your ride shuts down and visit blue umbrella to fix if you don't get a multi pass***

We decided to go to Space to ride, then walked onto Haunted Mansion that posted 35, but was no wait.

Then watched the back side of fireworks, did the carousel (no wait).

It is kind of sad to say, but if we did not have LLMP today, it would have really sucked. It shouldn't be that way, but I guess it was worth buying in our case today for sure. There's no way we would have got on Tiana w/o it. (Virtual queue was a total zoo. I can't imagine they made it far on boarding groups with how often it was down today.)

The day would have been spectacular if we'd actually gotten to ride 7DMT after our most crowded and hot rope drop morning & if Pirates hadn't broken down right as we were going to ride. Overall, we did quite a bit, all things considered with a 2 hour lunch ressie & 2 hour resort recovery break.

Hope this data helps!

The normal rule is you that you can use LL 5 minutes before and up to 15 minute after the return time given.

HOWEVER, I have personally seen it many times where you can scan in slightly earlier and much later than the return time given.
The later you return the more the CMs may say something to you, but then let you into the line anyways.

I won’t type too detailed of a post because I’m still tired lol. Ds (4) and I used LLMP yesterday at MK. We had Pooh, Tiana’s, and Pirates as our pre booked rides. We had a fantastic day!

Rope dropped Barnstormer x2
Dumbo
Tea cups
LL for Pooh (which was actually great because 7DMT was closed and Pooh was 40 minutes)
Booked BTMR for 10:40 am
Philharmagic
Little Mermaid
Carousel
LL for BTMR
Booked HM for 8 pm
LL for Tiana’s
Booked Buzz for 7:15 pm
LL for pirates
Booked Speedway for 6:35 pm
Peoplemover
Carousel of Progress

At this point we went back to the hotel for an afternoon nap and swim. We went back to the park around 7 pm.

LL for Speedway
LL for Buzz
LL for HM
Small world
Thunder Mountain x5
