Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Our booking window opens tomorrow morning. I've been playing around with the app but cannot confirm that we will be able to see the available rides/times before we commit to purchasing. Can someone please shed some light on this for me?

From what I have seen and read, yes you will be able to see all of that before you have to actually pay. BUT you only have 5 minutes per transaction, so you gotta be kinda quick about it.

Yes, you see your exact return times before the purchase screen.

Like others have said, you will be able to make all your selections for the day before confirming and paying. That is way nicer than Genie+

Here's a random question. When your window opens up, do you check out/pay one day at a time or do you add everything to your cart and pay all at once?

Do you need a park ticket at this point of the process? We are doing a 4 day trip to Orlando and was considering 1-2 park days, but i wouldnt want to do any park days if i can't get what i want with the fastpasses (or whatever they are now called)

Just to expand on the answer from @princesswahooey above you also want to move quickly through the process since your individual selections are only held for 5 minutes. If you spend too much time in the selection and modification process trying to get your perfect times you may need to go back and make your selections again.

You can now book for 20 at a time! Much better than 12!
Just wanted to thank you and everyone else for all of the detailed on the ground data. I'm glad you were able to get the Tiana situation sorted!

We are only going with 2 people but these reports are so valuable, between checking daily availability on the app and thrill data, it's starting to give me a better picture for when we go in September. Obviously a lot of things can and probably will change between now and then, but I don't feel as apprehensive about our park hopping strategy now tbh.

Yes to see the actual dates / times available for Lightning Lanes Multi Pass (LLMP) selection and for Lightning Lanes Single Pass (LLSP) selections you do need to have purchased tickets and linked in MDE.

Without tickets linked in MDE you can see the daily prices for LLMP and if LLSP experiences are available for today and about 20 days in the future in a day by day moving window.

ETA: add additional details...

Day 1 is really the only day we're concerned about for LLMP. We're tentatively planning on LLSP for days 2 and 3.

Yes. You need a ticket.

Edited to add: you need a ticket to see the LLMP options.

That's awesome! At least I will still be able to rope drop one park and schedule my lightning lanes for my second park. Thanks for your reply!
I had the same question! It looks like availability is really thinning out in the evenings! We enjoy resort mornings and quick standby line mornings at MK, before tackling the heavy hitters in the evenings. This is likely going to be our strategy!

Tackling the heavy hitters in the evening will always be an effective strategy.

I checked some standby line stats from yesterday to see the posted wait times for some of the headliners:

Flight of Passage - 30
Remy’s - 25
7DMT - 25
Rise of the Resistance - 10

And if these were the posted waits then the actual waits would have been much shorter.

I am loving those wait times. I'm flying out Friday night.

Do keep in mind that standby lines for those rides get very short toward the end of the day and you can reride to your hearts content with no LLMP required.

Even when Toy Story was new, we would have late-night tournaments and could almost always ride 4 times during the last hour of operation while most guests were waiting for the first showing of Fantasmic. Fortunately, a former poster here Robo gave me some good tips on how to not wear yourself out on that one with multiple rerides.

Everest gets shorter even earlier in the day, and the kids like to ride it 5 or 6 times before leaving the park. I get tired after about 2 trips and just sit on a bench watching them run by every few minutes.

Just be aware that the posted wait times are intentionally inflated in the evening to discourage late riders and you'll be good to go.
Would you mind sharing the tips for Toy Story Mania?
