Places we ate at this trip and our ratings from Best to Worst

Even the Guinness tastes different to me somehow.
This is anecdotally true. Perhaps it's because it's fresher from the brewery or perhaps the Irish barkeeps just know hoe to store and serve it better but for sure I've had this exact same experience and I wasn't looking to make a comparison. I just realized it as I was drinking it. Crazy but the real Ireland is so much fun. Never been to RR tho and I'm sure if it's run by real Irishmen then they'll take great pride in trying to create an authentic experience.

YMMV but, multiple meals at steakhouse, never any issues with the offerings. Service such, I’m sure if something is not up to your liking, they would address it promptly

Love the French onion soup, crab cake, burger & even the club sandwich. prime rib was lean but, not big on Disney’s buns in general

really nice to be able to duck out of MK for a well-prepared, relaxing lunch Where you’re not crammed in with so many others.

I can see that. I plan to go back to Steakhouse 71 again, because we stay at BLT often and MK is our favorite park. For one thing, I only had two menu items...the sandwich and the dessert. The dessert was very good and I didn't dislike the sandwich, it just didn't make it as high on the list as others. They advertise that they are first and foremost a Steakhouse. So I expected that a Prime Rib sandwich there would be really good. It was okay, and I just was underwhelmed. That's not enough of a perspective to make a broad judgment on everything they serve.

So many things can affect one's perspective on a one time experience. My list is just how I rated my experience this time around. I think the only place on my list I don't intend to try again was Space 220 because I did it once, and the price wouldn't be worth it for a second time.

Whispering Canyon we almost booked but decided against it since its just "okay" in our book. We are doing steakhouse 71 but for dinner so hoping for a good experience.

Also interested by Crystal Palace being up on your list as we go back and forth. I am leaning against it though because we have a 3 and 4 year old that basically don't eat anything which is a big strike against any buffet where we have to pay for them.

It's a good buffet, and they have a kids buffet as well. We've always went there for character breakfast but it wasn't restarted yet

I will add a caveat that we are big fans of MK and Main Street USA. We have family memories of Crystal Palace going back to when all our kids were little. So I tend to have rose colored glasses when it comes to CP. But as I mentioned, this list is subjective based on my personal feelings and experience, not as an official food critic.

Steak & Frites - Meat was chewy, broccoli was tough and cold, and as for the fries...I was about to ask if they could raid a different McDonald's dumpster (where they threw them out more recently). 😅
I 100% agree about the fries at Space 220. We had them in the lounge, and I felt like asking if they had run out of restaurant fries and had sent someone over to Sunshine Seasons to grab an order for our table. They were terrible.

I thought it more like eating at a Denny’s than a Steakhouse. The seating felt rather crowded and there is little atmosphere.

We had great service here and the food was good, but I agree the atmosphere is not the best.

Sorry lol 😆.
It was a fun experience (the space part), just the food was disappointing.
I think I'd opt for the burger if I had a do over. They typically are harder to screw up.
We've seen mixed reviews of Space too. We had the burger though and it was good. The price is crazy but was worth it for the experience. Would probably not go back though.

That's terrible! The burger came with these giant steak fries and were pretty good. Did they just have plain QS type fries for the steak?

Mine were definitely not giant steak fries, they were the size of McDonald's fries.

I'm actually surprised Ragland Road was your top pick. We ate their once and none of us liked it. Seems they've upped their game!
We ate at Raglan Road for the first time last October to kick off our week together with our older kids and enjoyed it quite alot. Certainly not a Signature meal but a great way to enjoy getting together with the kids (DD is in New Orleans with her significant other & DS is in Philly with his )and reconnect.

We had the short rib sliders in the lounge, and they came with QS-type skinny fries. Super disappointing! I will say we ate in the restaurant a few weeks prior to eating in the lounge and thought the food there was quite good - pricey, but very tasty. Lounge - not so much.

Good to hear!

One disclaimer on meal ratings I should disclose - I had my stiffest drinks of the trip at Raglan Road and Maya Grill. So that may have made the experience seem even better than it was. 😉
Which really speaks well of Trails End, because it was morning and the only thing I had to drink was coffee.
That has to be it.
Having dined more times than I care to admit at Raglan Road, not once would it rate in my top 10.
It's a favorite of a traveling partner of mine so when I'm with that friend, we go. I've yet to have a meal I truly enjoyed there but hey, the things we do for friends.

I'm floored that you put Steakhouse 71 at a Denny's level. Maybe your Denny's are different than ours? Ours doesn't even serve things I'd call food. It's where drunks go to sober up. They have no business outside of that. Ever. Drunks never care what they are served. It just needs a lot of grease to absorb the alcohol. LOL Denny's has that, and then some.

T-Rex, well, Landry's food is never been on anyone's top anything list I don't think. Unless it's a top loudest dining establishment list, LOL.

We've gone to Steakhouse 71 several times and liked it. I find it isn't really different from The Wave, other than the name.

We gave Whispering Canyon another chance recently and now know why we only go there when a tour makes us. It's just poor barbeque. Granted, I'm from an area with excellent barbeque so that may have a lot to do with it.

I'm on the fence on Space 220. We've been 3, 4 times. Lounge only. Love the drinks. The food we've had is ok. Some great, some so-so. Thankfully it was never bad. The sliders were a saving grace though. They were enough to get us to return actually. Oh, and the deviled eggs. DH and I are sort of deviled egg aficionados and found theirs really good. I wish it was more hits and less so-so. We've never done the prix-fix menu.

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on Steakhouse 71 and Space 220...but to fall below TRex? Wow. I might find my meal in one of the trash cans before I go back to TRex.

I'm also curious about thoughts on Tucker House. We haven't eaten there since pre-pandemic, it's usually our favorite character meal. But I know the menu is a little more homogenized these days.
Every complaint I hear about Space220 is the price. Even with the cool "views" the food needs to match the price.

People have unrealistic expectations of price, and price equating to quality, in a theme park. It's always going to be a ripoff, we aren't paying for food, we are paying for context/experience. That's why one family's "never again" is another family's "must do every trip".
