Places to visit/stay in Savannah, GA?

I have been through Savannah on the way to and from Disney years ago but am thinking I would like to take a trip there.

Can anyone tell me where would some nice places to stay and visit be?

We are stopping there on the way through disney and staying at the hampton inn. So I am anxious to see if they offer anything we can see that night

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Bay Street which was a great location. The hotel was nice and breakfast was free. Enjoy!
