Hi,

I'm taking a family of 4 to Disneyland in two weeks. This family is going through rough times so I decided to take their worries away for a day. This means that I will be paying for the tickets, souvenirs and food. The tickets alone is alot for me. To save on the cost, I've decided to take them to breakfast at a restaurant outside Disneyland. Can anybody recommend a place that is reasonable -- and sort of fun? Thank you.

Mimi's Cafe on Harbor Blvd. by the Hojo (and only a few minutes walk from the Esplanade/Main Gates) is a delicious option. It's not super spendy, but it's also not fast food either. The portions are huge (the muffins in particular are ginormous) and the french toast that is stuffed with a combination of orange marmalade and cream cheese is to die for! You can order it ala carte as a meal paired with bacon, eggs, potatoes and juice for less than $10.

They also are a very kid friendly restaurant. My family enjoys the fact that they bring orange slices, cheerios and other finger foods out to my 1 year old along with his bib--making a perfect meal for him!

That's very sweet of you!

I'd suggest Denny's, I'm not sure which street it's on but it's close.

Mimi's I am gonna agree with the poster above, its a sit down place, the portions are great, and the food is delicious. Definately their muffins. Their honey bran muffins you get with your breakfast is almost sinful.

My brother always takes his family to Rainforest Cafe for Breakfast because he says it's cheaper than the IHOP on Harbor. I would also suggest Whitewater Snacks in the GCH and even Riverbelle Terrace in DL for a reasonable priced breakfast.

If you decide to do lunch or dinner I would suggest "BIGS". It is our favorite place to eat. Pizza, mojo potatoes, chicken wings, salad bar and CEC type games. Last year we got there in time for the All You can eat Lunch Buffet. The best part was, I asked the cashier if they had any coupons, he said no, but that he would let the kids eat for FREE. We had a HUGE lunch for $12!!!!:thumbsup2 Its on Harbor Blvd over the bridge by the hojo!! Not far at all!!

Is the Denny's there 24/7? :confused3

(in fact, are ALL Denny's 24/7? )

Another vote for Mimi's. It is my DS's favorite restaurant in the DLR area. As others have said.....huge portions and good prices. And yes.....the muffins are SO yummy!:)

We went to Denny's for 3 meals and service was great each time and so was the food. We were very impressed. Saying that you really might be better off getting counter service at Disneyland and not have to do a tip. Check out the menus on allears. They are such a great tool.

*takes notes*

Mmm tomorrowland terrace sounds like a GOOD idea. Tho I guess we're eating bkfast in the hotel. Maybe for one day we'll try it

We LOVE MiMi's! Millie is super good too (and pretty inexpensive).
DO NOT EAT AT IHOP!!! It's sooooo expensive. We paid $100 for 3 adults and 1 child. Such a joke!
We mostly eat breakfast in our room with food we brought.

oh my GOSH you are KIDDING.

*marks that off list* It's MORE than mimis?!?!? Man, that's not the way of it here LOL

MiMi's is cheeper and better. AFter we ate at IHOP we said to each other "We should have went to MiMi's and it would have been WAY better food and much cheeper"
I don't know why IHOP is so expensive. It's not even that good.

We always eat at Millie's. I love there food and the price is right. For a late lunch we eat at ESPN Zone. The food is really good. Plus my husband can watch sports and have a beer or two making it easier for me two buy more prizes in the park:thumbsup2 Anyone have more info on "BIGS"?Sounds good for kids and my family.
