Places to eat outside Disneyland

I don't have any suggestions but I just wanted to say that it is so nice of you to treat this family to a day at disney!

wow ihop is off our list ty.
mimis pizza delivery and rainforest cafe will be where we go out of the park

amiraah - Check the paper and Sunday Ads for Restaurant Coupons! Also, check the Entertainment Book for coupons, too.
:confused3 Every bit helps!

Also ask for a AAA discount...a lot of restaurants don't advertise it, but they do give one!

I hope you all enjoy!! :yay:

Mimi's is the place!! The food is awesome and the portions are huge. My sis and I have shared a meal there before and still couldn't finish it.

Just an FYI about Rainforest.. it's not cheep at all. Dh and I went in August and we spent $95.00. He had ribs, I had fatias (sp?) I had a Meitai (drink) and he had 2 beers.. oh and breshetta (sp?). It was a lot for the 2 of us. We spent the same at BB (no drinks!). Anyway I am sure you know what you will spend since you do so much reasearch.
Oh and we found coupons in the phone book for pizza. :)

I agree!!!! We can eat cheeper here than in the park for dinner or lunch.

rainforest cafe is an extra thing we didnt think we could fit but we can now. we also got a 10dollers off coupon in my email last week
for food it will be 50 if we need more (drinks or desert) we will spend 10 of each adults me and dh's spending money

I guess I am in the minority here when I say that I don't think IHOP is expensive, but then again expensive is a relative term.

We always eat at Millie's. I love there food and the price is right. For a late lunch we eat at ESPN Zone. The food is really good. Plus my husband can watch sports and have a beer or two making it easier for me two buy more prizes in the park:thumbsup2 Anyone have more info on "BIGS"?Sounds good for kids and my family.

I just "yelp"ed it. It says closed on the Yelp site. It does include an address and phone number. And the full name is Big's Pizza and More. 1027 S Harbor Blvd Anaheim, CA 92805. Google maps puts it at .4 miles away straight up Harbor. (714) 533-0440.

That's all I've been able to find out about it. I wonder when the PP was there?

I dropped $150 at IHOP for a family of 5. When I got the bill I realized that for the same price I could have done a character breakfast at Aeriels or Plaza Inn

IHOP is crazy expensive! Everything on the menu is like $3-5 more than at the one near my house! It's crazy and the food isn't that good!

I highly recommend Rainforest Cafe. The prices for breakfast are reasonable and the portions are HUGE so people can definaltey share, which makes it an even better deal!

Mimi's is good too, but RF has quite the atmosphere!

You could have but I wonder what could you have possibly ordered for the bill to come to that amount? Unless your family has very large appetites...Then again this is breaking away from the OP question.

wow, i'm glad to get the feedback on ihop. i just said 'ihop' cause it was on harbor. i did eat there several years ago with my older sister, brother-in-law, and niece...but since i didn't foot the bill, i guess i didn't know how expensive dinner was that night!

In-N-Out Burger - Tastiest burgers in the world and healthier than most fast food joints (well maybe not "healthier" but fresher would be more like it!)

Chris N Pits - Super huge portions and great tasting food for the price! Ribs, steak and seafood.

Both of these places are a few blocks from Disneyland but well worth the trip.

Hi,

I'm taking a family of 4 to Disneyland in two weeks. This family is going through rough times so I decided to take their worries away for a day. This means that I will be paying for the tickets, souvenirs and food. The tickets alone is alot for me. To save on the cost, I've decided to take them to breakfast at a restaurant outside Disneyland. Can anybody recommend a place that is reasonable -- and sort of fun? Thank you.

There is also Milli's (not to be confused with Mimi's) it is by Hojo's. You could always grab breakfast at Mc Donalds. honestly, I have had breakfast at Dennys and Mc D's and I would put it on the same level but cheaper and without the tip and time. A delux breakfast comes with eggs, pancakes sausage and hashbrowns and biscuit for under $5.

anyway it's cheap

I didn't find IHop expensive ~ we ate there this past April, my kids ate for free, my meal was under $10 & I'm pretty sure my dad & step mom split their meal.

the ihop is expensive?

I just returned and ate at IHOP. breakfast for three, one who ate just hash browns and coffee was $45! Nothing on the breakfast menu under $10 and that was a dessert crepe....just one.

I agree that Mimi's was fabulous. Also Baker's Square had delicious food at a reasonable price. Free slice of pie on Wednesdays for the next month or so too :thumbsup2

My sister had been to Vegas teh week before we met at Disney and she told me that none of the food they ate there, and she spent a fortune on meals, was as good as the meals we had at Mimi's or Baker's square.

i try to hit Chris n Pitt's any chance i get!!! i didn't even know about it other than the BBQ sauce until my boss took us there one evening after the NAMM trade show. i guess he knows the owner or something. my go to menu item is the baseball cut sirloin yummmm!!

*Dry heave*
You are not kidding! I know we were at a vacation destination and we were at the Park Vue Inn so we just walked over but still it was crazy expensive. I am on WW though and have not had pancakes for what seems to be forever so I have to say that I enjoyed every bite!
