I was curious as to which rides, restaurants & shows are allowed photography & videotaping? If I can have a list of places that allow it and dont allow it then please let me know & I will print it out to take with me. PMing me is fine.:confused3

I don't recall seeing a compiled list like that before, but I can give you some rough guidelines...
1) There are very few places that have absolute prohibitions against photography and/or video taping (excluding "back stage" areas). What is mostly restricted is FLASH photography and video taping with external lighting.
2) Almost every "dark night" (ex. Haunted Mansion, Dinosaur!, etc.) has flash photo prohibitions.
3) The Nemo musical in AK used to have a total prohibition against photography/video taping... but IIRC recently that's be relaxed to "no flash" only.

Makes sense... I'm sure they're worried about a camera/camcorder getting loose in the cage and slamming down on someone's head!

Nemo show - In mid November, first they said no "flash" photography or video taping. Then, they made another announcement - no photography or video taping. Didn't stop anyone - saw a number of people doing videos with their bright LCDs lit up. I did see a CM walk down toward the area where it was happening. The guests put them down for a bit and then started up again.

3D shows always say no photography or video taping. Carousel of Progress also said the same thing in November. Others always seemed to be no flash.

CoP used to allow photography. They didn't the last couple of times I was there.

I'd swear that IASW used to be a flash free zone, but now it's open for anything.

Many live shows like FN, VLM are no flash and no video lights. FotLK allows flash but not video lights.

WDW ToT used to not allow photography, but now they do.

I think that the Hall of Presidents doesn't allow photography, but I think the main concern is the shutter noise waking the nappers that fill the theater.

They are quite strict about no photography of backstage areas or behind construction walls.

The Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor (or whatever is called) is absolutely no photograhy. I wasn't even shooting and a cast member came up to me and told me no photography (my camera wasn't even in a shooting position, it was on the seat next to me).

My editorial position is that the show is so bad that no one would want to take pictures. I believe that animation look incredibly fake and the time I went they decided to speak to someone who obviously spoke little to no English and did not understand what was happening. Long story short, they wouldn't leave her alone and she was obviously upset ad confused about the whole thing.

General guidelines from my experiences at Disneyland is: no "flash" photography on every "dark" ride, no video taping any sit down indoor show. Come to think of it I don't think they said anything in the Tiki Room(but thats an exception). Any ride they think would be unsafe to have equipment out they prohibit taping or photography at all.

Just use your judgment and if a CM comes to tell you to put away your camera then do it graciously. Just have to listen carefully to the preride or show instructions.

Disneyland is certainly stricter than Disney World. (Possibly because they can be, with more locals and less international travelers who will be upset if they're denied the ability to take photos.) The only time I've been chastised anywhere on Disney property was on Tower of Terror in California Adventure back in 2005 - and it's no fun, I hadn't heard/seen any warnings at that point and it kind of sucks some of the magic out when you get scolded.

At WDW, you can generally video or non-flash photo nearly anything, except occasionally very new live shows.
