I'm looking forward to trying out the Pizza press as I've heard good things. Have a few questions, how big are the pizzas? ($10 bucks a pizza seems a good deal if you can feed 2). How long does it take to get your pizzas? Do you order from a menu or make your own? (does making your own make it take longer? What did you think of the pizza on a scale of 1 to 10? Thanks everyone. We are on a bit of a budget this trip and just trying to think of places that could be good for budget eating. Came up with this, subway, earl of sandwich and McDonalds. Any others?

My son calls it Pizza PERFECT.

It's thin crust (they use a press to squash the ball of dough into a disc) and could feed 2 unless you're very hungry. Because my son is a bottomless pit we generally order 2 for the 3 of us. It's not cheap pizza but it's good and we think it's worth it.

You order from the person who stands there making the pizza as you order it. It then goes into the oven and it pops out right near the cash register, so you're sort of moving along the line (behind others paying etc) as your pizza goes through. They have good root beers, good ice cream, and what seems to be good beer, too.

There is, or will be soon, a Panera right near by as well. They have big food portions there.

And, frankly, we like Denny's too. Nothing wrong with breakfast anytime! :)

I love Pizza Press!!! You can put as many (or as few) toppings on your pizza as you want and the price is still $10. My friend and I split a pizza and have 2 slices left over. I'd say we are moderate eaters. I consider that a bargain!

Pizza press is delicious! It is quick as long as the line isn't long- no matter what you order- menu or special it only takes maybe 2-3 mins to cook? It's really quick. The outside seating is nice since its small inside. The pizza can feed 2-3 as long as you don't have a huge eater- we eat a good amount and had left overs! I'd say it's the size of a medium elsewhere maybe? It's a good price imo. The kids meals- which adults can order are great too- small pizza, cookie and drink. I'd give the food a 8-9- we actually ate there twice we liked it so much lol
Also if you pay $25 for the landrys select card (it's like their loyalty card) you get $25 and $25 on your birthday month- I don't think they ever checked out I'd to confirm the birthday. So 1/2 off and less then park food ts.
We also really enjoyed the cs and it's faster and cheaper then ts. Something like our own fruit and drinks and a corn dog from the cart or something to eat out but not cost so much

You're talking about Rainforest Cafe, yes? Either you missed writing it or I missed reading it! :)

Pizza Press is great! One pizza is about the size of a medium from any chain restaurant. It tasted better than chain restaurant pizza, though, and could easily feed two average people or 3-4 children.

I did budget food for my trip as well, sign up for mailing lists! Mimi's has one (free muffins or croissants with any purchase over $5, I really enjoyed their soup and sandwich combo, which my mom and I split for a small meal) and so does Buca Di Beppo (free small pasta; turned out to be more like a trough of pasta. Was supposed to feed 2 people but I ate it for 4 days, 2 meals a day. Plus they gave me bread with it!). We also grabbed some staples from Target.

If you're on a budget for food I'm assuming you're probably not staying on-site, so where are you staying? There are lots of fast-food and quick-serve style places down Harbor, towards Target, so that might help if you can grab something cheap for one meal a day at least.

Does Pizza Press offer anchovies? I'm very allergic. Mod Pizza has anchovies and I won't eat there because it seemed to easy for a random anchovy to drop in to another topping container. Anyone know if this is the case with Pizza Press? I love Pieology- they have no anchovies, and I'd love to give Pizza Press a try.

I didn't see it on the menu but you can double check here yourself: http://www.thepizzapress.com

Thank you. I don't see anchovies in the any of the menu items but the ingredients list they mentioned for the "build your own" is missing. Since I don't see it listed in the other items, if might be worth it to wander over and check it out.
I tried doing a phoney take out order where I build my own pizza and didn't see it there either. It might be best to call ahead and check with them as it might just not be on the list. Getting sick from a food alergy is no joke, always better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully you will be able to add it to you list of possible pizza places to eat.:o

We just had our first trip to DL in early May. It was awesome! And we loved Pizza Press! It was fun and yummy! We actually got pizza there three times, twice was a later night night, once was dinner. My DD25 and I shared it on the snack nights, and on the dinner night we each got our own. We always finished so I'm surprised other PP's had left overs on the one pizza between 2 or 3 people.
The pizzas are definitely smaller than any medium size, here in my area, anyway. Actually, they are 10" pizzas(med here are 12-14"), and they have a small that is 6" size. So you start down on the one end, the Pizza 'Press' area, they flatten a pre-made ball of dough, then you choose your toppings, sort of like you do at subway. The sausage and mushroom, chopped bacon, and pepperoni. All were good, even the ones I just watched them make, lol. They also had a few different cheeses. Including, I think it was a non dairy one that someone ordered, they asked if it was allergy or preference, so they seem to take that into account if needed. They had red, white, and an olive oil base to choose. Once you've dressed your pizza, they cook the pizzas 4 minutes. Once I had them cook it more like 5-6 to crisp it a bit more. They box them down at the 'publishing' end of the counter where you pay. They also have some salads and drinks in a cooler to grab, and some desserts, as well. Also, bottled water, milk, soda, beers and wine.

It's located on Harbor blvd almost across from the entrance to the park. It's just past the Tropicana, in the driveway into the lot for the Carousel Inn. Definitely saw plenty of locals, as well as Disney visitors there. I bet they have pretty steady business all the time!

I thought it was a really good pizza and a pretty good deal, particularly the nights we had it as a snack, lol. I can't wait till we can go back, wish we didn't have to wait two years! I was gonna say a 10, but I do have a fave pizza here that's a 10, so I'd say a 9, lol! They were all really nice and friendly there, too.

Earl of Sandwich, in DTD right before the Disneyland hotel, is awesome! And the prices are pretty good for a good sized sandwich! We went there three times too, lol. Hmm. We were there 8 days, ate there arrival and departure day, and one night for late dinner when something else didn't work out. The Panera is there now, though I guess I don't think of it as cheap, but it's good.

We were on a tight food budget during our last trip and ate at Pizza Press one night. It was delicious!! 1 pizza did feed the 2 of us ( although we ended up being piggy and going back for a 2nd as it was so good!). Used the 10% off coupon from Anaheim coupons.

Sign up to the Earl of Sandwich club about a week before you go to get free chips and a drink when you buy a sandwich.

Also sign up to the Cold Stone creamery club and you can usually get 'buy one, get one free'.

And the i-hop club for a free stack of pancakes.

We also used the Denny's $2,$4, $6, $8 menu for a cheap, filling meal.

How many times have I passed by Pizza Press and smelled that great pizza wafting out the doors...and never tried it! But this trip will be different - especially since I found out they have GF pizza for Celiac wife. GF is hard to come by anywhere, so if we can do it at Disney, we will!

I'll add to the cheers. Wonderful pizza for the price and the option to have anything made it great. The kids loved it (7 and 5). We ordered two pizzas for the three of us and it was more then enough.

Absolutely, I just meant I'd wander over and look for myself and ask them. I'd never eat without being sure. Thanks!
