Wondering how Pizza Planet was? I don't have high expectations but wondered. My 4 year old is looking forward to it.

Tks

We went in 2003 with Dh, DD13 and DS9! We loved it! We are huge toy story fans so this was a dream. I you like WDW pizza then you are in luck. I think they only have pizza. There is also an arcade.(You have to pay for the games, not like disney quest, I pretty sure) we loved it and plan on going back in June!!

We usually eat there once on each trip. I used to think the pizza was just average, but I feel its improved over the past few years. For some reason the salads always seem to hit the spot too. I think the theming is cute and the kids love the games. It also gives them incentive to eat their meals if they know they can play afterwards.

We went last year, and DS LOVED it!! He is making sure we go there for lunch on this day this time too.

We played games and air hockey, of course he won every game, how could that be?

Pizza wasn't bad, I surely had worse, but the fun he had, not only PIZZA, GAMES but the atmosphere made his day!!

Tks for the info! This is going to be a big surprise. I was hoping he would like it. He/We are big toy story fans as well!

:cool1:

We enjoyed eating here as well. The food was pizza was pretty good;
Be warned though, it looks nothing like Pizza Planet in Toy Story. I was somewhat disappointed in the design and decorations as they just didn't hold true to the movie. I wasn't expecting an exact replica or anything.
If you go with that in mind, I think you'll enjoy. My kids didn't seem near as disappointed as I was, although they asked about a few things. Then we were at Disney, so it couldn't be too bad. ;)

The pizza was okay. Our son loved it at the time...he was really into toy story, but it was sooo crowded. We ended up having to eat outside on the ground because there was no where to sit!!

We go back every year. I really enjoy the salads, they've always been really fresh & we usually go in the fall. My kids are teens now & still look forward to it. The arcade type games are not free. It tends to get very crowded & the tables & chairs are up (alot of) stars.

I've only eaten there once, but I got a mediocre pizza and a terrible salad.

The atmosphere and decor of the place are great and well worth the time to explore, but I wouldn't eat there again myself.

we share a cheese pizza at mgm at toy story pizza planet every trip, the pizza is good, there's a huge arcade & its airconditioned inside, although we prefer a table outside.

We ate here last December with my three year old. He really liked it. Although it doesn't look anything like the Pizza Planet in the movie, he was really too young to recognize that. We just made a big deal about how we were going to eat at the Pizza Planet from Toy Story and he never seemed to notice that it looked different.

If the weather is nice, it's nice to sit outside and watch everyone in the courtyard. We were quite pleased with the quality of the pizza and salads for the price. I mean, we're still talking about Disney counter service so it's not going to be the best pizza you've ever had but we will probably go back again.

a different voice: we hated it! It was as loud and noisy as any arcade, and the acoustics seem designed to make it even noisier. The seating is crowded, and it all feels like a Chuck E. Cheese downgrade. My children turned into greedy little consumers wanting more and more tokens to win crap. I kept thinking, there's Disney life happening out there, and we're stuck here in the strip mall.

Just our curmudgeonlly opinion :-)
:sad2:

We also eat here for lunch when we're at MGM. Only place we like, actually. I always get the veggie pizza - it's good and spicy.

As others have mentioned, the inside is basically an arcade, but outside, you get to see Woody and Mr. Potato Head sitting on top of the restaurant! So if your kids like Toy Story, it's fun!

We went with our 2 little ones in 09/03 and they both loved it. They can't wait to go back and eat the pizza. In fact, this is one of the few places that I can get my DS to eat pizza.

I was disappointed that that thing with "the claw" that picks up toys (I have no idea what it's called) didn't have the Little Green Men in it like the ones in the movie. But my kids didn't seem to care.
As far as the pizza, it's good. We always eat at Pizza Planet every trip.

:wave2:

We have 3 little boys and Pizza Planet is a must-do for us! It's such a fun place. We think the pizza and salad's are ok, not wonderful, but certainly not bad. We always eat an early lunch there. They have cute souvenir mugs there too. :teeth:

we liked it, the salad was a little "perk". How many Counter Services will give you a salad?
With a 4 year old, you might could even split the pizza (save some $$)
This is also where we met the nicest CM this trip- she entertained our kids while we waited, and even carried our trays while we looked for a seat, and wiped it down for us once the other party left. She even came back with a schedule of where to meet Buzz & Woody. Totally above and beyond!!!
Ditto on the souvenir mugs- it less than $2 more than the large soda, so people back home got Mugs as gifts!!

My family loves Pizza Planet. It's a must do on every trip.

Disappointed with this one in November - it was really crowded downstairs so we went upstairs, which reminded me of a warehouse - in the corner where we sat, the decor was badly maintained with plaster hanging off the ceiling. Food was only so-so. Much prefer the Backlot.
