Pizza Delivery to BWV

I know they have the pizza window on the Boardwalk but wondering how it works if you order pizza from somewhere like Flippers? Do you have to meet them in the lobby? I like the Pizza on the Boardwalk but might get a little more variety from an off site delivery for my daughter.

They are not allowed to deliver directly to your room, only to the main desk.

I was also looking at restaurant delivery places - I had googled and came up with one that seems to deliver even Houlihan's. On second thought, we can always hop over to Pikabu at the Dolphin and carry out a nice dinner if we feel like eating in (we're at the BWV a week from now).

I think any hotel I've stayed at requires you to meet a deliver in the lobby - I wouldn't want delivery staff coming to the room (with the exception of the doctor we had to call one trip).

I'd call the pizza places and see which deliver. If for any reason there's a flyer in your room for a pizza place, don't call them.

I'm surprised to hear that pizza delivery people can only deliver to the front desk at BWV. That may be the rule, but it's not the way it's working in real life!

I know this because we had pizza menus from outside vendors placed under our door at BWV several times during our stay a couple of months ago. And, we were on the 5th floor and very far from the elevator. There was even one menu in the hallway obvious to any BWV employee who happened to walk past. So, pizza delivery folks are obviously going up the elevator to the rooms! Not surprising since one does not need a room key to access room floors.

I've often thought that pizza delivery is one of the obvious gaps is WDW security. I think it even more since our last stay.

These are scam flyers with the hope that you will call and give them your credit card number over the phone. Your CC will then be compromised and used repeatedly with unauthorized purchases.

The lack of security Disney is displaying is very disturbing as this scam has been going on for several years now and they seem either unwilling or unable to stop it.

Ditto, there was one in my door every single night of my eight day stay and I reported them to the front desk. From their prices and stating they could deliver directly to the door, it was obvious it was a scam in order to get information from your credit card.
