I need the dirt. Where is it? How does it work? What do you all think of it?

I have a Tinkerbell freak and she needs answers. I had never heard of it. I am a Disney failure!

If you have a TInkerbelle freak she may enjoy it.. We thought it was only so so.... long line to meet two characters and take a few photos. They did nice interaction with the kids though..... We walked out saying "That's it!"

where is pixie hollow?

was it not there two years ago? 'cause i don't remember it.

Pixie Hollow just opened. It's where Ariel used to sit in her shell. You get to meet 2-3 fairies after you walk thru a que designed to make you feel like your shrinking. We have not done it yet, it's on our list for this weekend tho!

My DS4 has always been a huge Tinkerbell fan, so we stood in the loooong line last December. DS8 was rather unimpressed, but took pictures along the walkway; cute little fairy houses have been installed along the edges of the pools, and the entrance to Pixie Hollow has huge, brightly colored flowers and greenery.

DS4 skipped in when it was his turn and was so excited to meet Silvermist... and he had no idea who she was! :lmao:

She chatted with him for quite awhile, we took pictures (oh, and there's a photopass photographer there as well), and then it was time to meet Tinkerbell. He rounded the corner and shouted out her name, then ran into her arms. It was so adorable! :lovestruc

I was hoping there was a bit more to do along the walkway, but that's pretty much it. There's a cart at the end selling Tinkerbell and fairy-themed items. Still, DS loved it so it was worth it to me. :thumbsup2

We waited close to an hour in line, but I think I heard someone say that Pixie Hollow had just opened the weekend before. My daughter loved it and we got some great pics with our camera and with the photopass photogs...It was great but im not sure I will go again, unless my daughter drags me thru, lol

My partner and I avoided it all weekend last Christmas because the lines were so long. Finally on the last day, it didn't look that bad and we wanted to check it out so we stood in line for almost an hour. We took some pictures. It's very beautiful, but it's nothing more then a photo op and nothing else really. You get about 1 minute with Tink and her friend(s). At least we say we did it. I really only wanted to see what it looked like since for some reason, they close it off when Tink isn't there. Not sure why you still can't go look around.

From what I've seen as well, it looks better then the WDW version, but haven't talked to anyone who's done both.

I am dying to see it. We are going to WDW in the fall. I see commericals on the Disney Channel. It looks cool. My DD really wants to see Tinkerbell!

We went in December on a weekday, and I think the line was about 30 minutes. Not too bad, we thought, to finally get to meet Tinkerbell!

I just wanted to say, zeitzeuge, I love the picture in your siggie! That Fawn is sooo adorable!!!! :)

ITA! You have the funnest pictures! :)

They do have it roped at night but you could jump the rope and walk thru. Not sure what they would do if you got caught tho. :) We looked in but we didn't walk thru, I told DBF I wanted to wait until the girls were with us.

Ok..now I am new to DL. I was there on MLK Day. We did a ton of stuff but all the while (as crowded as that day was) I am trying to find where Tink will be??? I have in hand my DL Guide and no where on the guide does it mention where Tink will be. Heck, looking at the guide right now at my desk I do not even see anything about Tink on the guide or where Ariel's shell is.....am I losing it or what.....:confused3 So I left that day w/o seeing it at all. Where is she???

Thanks. :goodvibes

No, you're not losing it. :) It's probably not on them, altho it should be. It's been so long since I grabbed a map that I don't even know what is on them now. LOL What you're gonna do is walk down MS towards the castle, before you get to the castle veer right so you're headed towards the Matterhorn, you will see the Pixie Hollow entrance well before you get to the Matterhorn, it too will be on your right. :)

Thank you ! We never really got into taking pictures with the characters much, until our last trip in December. I'm so anti standing in lines. The pics we got with Fawn and Tink are priceless.

When we walked into the meet/greet, Fawn, staying in character as usual, blurts out, "So, are you faries too?"

We did everything to surpress our laughter. Then it hit her what she said and who she said it too. :rotfl2:

To be fair, it took me a minute too but that is funny!

Thanks so much, pixie!!! :thumbsup2

We went last week, the wait was about 30 minutes at 10 am. The landscaping they did is beautiful.., but I think they could have done a better job of making you feel like you were "shrinking". Some progression of sizing down the wait line or something. I'd love to see DL do a ride/character mix...., where you went into a little car and were brought back to someplace where the characters were.., and then maybe you got out to see them.., in and then exited on foot or something.

Does anyone else remember the "Shrinking" ride? I only went on it once when I was small.., then it was removed. I wanted that kind of feel.., and all you get is big grass and flowers like in CA's "Flik's" bug land place.

That being said.., I was SO excited that they even set it up so you could meet Tink.., as long as I can remember we only saw Tink when she was flying off the Matterhorn or in a parade.., never a signing/photo op. Now our autograph book that we've been working on for over 12 years feels so much more complete!

I didn't get it at first, either. :rotfl2:

Zeitzeuge, I meant to mention your Pixie Hollow photo earlier ~ It's awesome, one of my favorites on the DIS! :thumbsup2
