Well I got the dreaded call Monday from GC's preschool that she was sick--the teacher was out with the "flu" and three other kids. Rising fever all afternoon, then she started retching (she can't throw up because of the Nissen fundo) as soon as the tylenol wore off her fever shot up. The doc prescribed zofran for her, for the retching and told me that they would need to see her Tuesday morning if she had not improved. They felt she had H1N1 flu. It just continued to get worse overnight, so I called the dr Tuesday morning and they said bring her in immediately
It was a very short visit, they prescribed the tamiflu for her.
It's weird this stuff seems to go in stages, she's now in the head congestion part of it, with body aches and fever, but the fever is at least staying lower when the tylenol wears off--She's having difficulty breathing because of the congestion in her nose, but it's the next phase that scares me, when it goes into the lungs. This is when the most danger is for her, so I'm praying that the tamiflu will help. Say a prayer or send a positive thought her way
