I, too, am addicted to DCL like most of the others on here. I was planning on cruising in late Apr. or May '06. We missed last year as we had a newborn and I am so excited to take her this year. Anyhow, I'm a realtor and it's been a REALLY sloooowww 4th quarter, but things are picking up, just not selling any of my 5 listings. My husband says if I don't sell something fast we can't go. We really can't. Been living off credit cards for the past month. We have DVC points which I was going to use, but I miscalculated and we won't get all the points we need until Dec. So please, send a little pixie dust my way so that I sell a house or 2 or 5 ASAP so I can cruise too. I'm too depressed to even look at the DIS boards anymore! :wizard: :wizard:

Hey fellow Buckeye :) Yes, I know how you feel! I'm wanting to plan our 5th disney cruise SOOOO bad...but my dh2b wants to wait a few month and just see... My thoughts and prayers are with you.... trust me, I feel your pain!! :)Good luck!!

I know, I know...there are people who never get the chance to cruise and I should be happy I've even been on 1 let alone 5. But when you have it in your head that you are going and have been following the boards for a couple of months getting all pscyhed up, it's a bummer.

exactly, the planning is 1/2 the fun for me. Especially since we live so far away... going to Cedar Point is nothing to us...but Disney... :) I just love it! My dh2b decided we'd alternate choosing our vacation places each year. Last year we took 2 weeks and went out to Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore... now this year is my turn :) He's getting ready to retire after 20 years in the military :) so he wants to wait until after he retires in July...and we plan on getting married this year so our income will naturally be changing and spending for the wedding... but i'm thinking.... cruise would be a great honeymoon :)!!!! this is our 2nd marriage for the both of us and i got married at WDW the first time so he says nothing disney this time...but I'll have to keep talking to him :)!!!! Good luck to you! I really hope something turns up for you. For me it seems like things just work out in the end... Good luck!! pixiedust: :tink:

I feel your pain...! My DH is refusing to cruise Disney again. We just had our first DCL cruise last week and I want and will plan another one. ( We have DVC points so why cruise another line? My answer to that? Ill bring friends or other family. :confused3

Would me buying the 28K sq foot house on Portage and you were my agent help convience him?? *haha

The market is pretty slow, but I thought it was beginning to pickup....

Have you already booked something? I've been pricing cruises for '06 and '07. The cruises are so much cheaper in '07. The last week in April is showing up $400 to $500 cheaper PER PERSON for the '07 cruise vs. the same week in '06, and each kid is $500 to $600 less for some reason. You do save lots of money if you reserve as soon as the prices are announced. Plus you have all that time to save for it.

As a fellow Realtor, I feel your pain. I have a biggie commission on the line which would be paying for the Med. Cruise next summer. If my buyer backs out, we probably won't cruise!!!

:grouphug:

It must be an Ohio thing... and I grew up in NJ. Hmmm.....
We just sailed for the first time on the Wonder this past Jan. and myself and my three kids are lobbying my husband for a 7 night cruise next year...
We looked at Easter of next year but at $12,000 for 5, it is just prohibitive for us. With the tentative scheduling of the Magic in Europe (or wherever) next summer, I've lobbyed (?) for next Jan. Not having much luck.
I'm so addicted to the boards he is getting irritated (jokingly) with me.
I told him I wouldn't stop coming here until he let me book! I have to say he paused for a moment to think, but then said "Get comfy in your office chair!" :surfweb: Looks like I'll be around for a while, anyone want to pull up a chair beside me? :wave2:

Nope you are absolutely correct. BUT that is also the nature of the business. So right now, dirt poor...after selling these 5 houses...back in biz. It will pick up, but it's just tough to plan ahead sometimes. I'm just tired of the snow and cold already and reading these boards......I wanna go! :bounce: :rolleyes2 :guilty:

As a fellow agent I understand. Its feast or famine. A lot of agents live on credit cards in the slow months and then make a ton during the spring and summer. Those listings will sell. I have no doubt! Good Luck!
