Pixar resuming talks with Disney

ABC has a bottom-of-the-screen scroll on this morning during GMA. One of the headlines is new talks between Pixar & "Parent Company" Disney.

Is there hope?

Or is this really a good thing? If Pixar goes elsewhere or out on their own, would if eventually force Disney back to the creative drawing boards, so to speak, on their own?
