I've been checking daily---Airtran, Southwest, UsAirways---and the same prices keep coming up ($99, $120, and $122), but yet I'll get an email for web fares showing $69 and I follow the links, but never seem to find these reduced rates?

Am I looking in the wrong area or are these reduced fares for other dates?

Has anybody here gotten any cheaper rates for that day? Since I was unable to save any $ with the free dining program, I figured I better start really looking hard for a cheaper airfare :)

We had a TON of trouble with our flights for in May from Pittsburgh to MCO. Our flights were coming up 200+ for connecting flights so ur lucky!! The one day my dad got on Orbitz and got $160 roundtrip with a direct flight going down with USAir and on the way back we have a connection in Atl with Delta and they were both good times, we get into MCO at 330 and leave MCO at 630.

The prices of the flights are constantly changing so that could be why your sweet deal of 69 isnt coming up, I had trouble last spring break with the same problem, I would pick the flights, go to check out and i'd get an error saying the price went up. Have you tried orbitz, expedia, or travelocity? Those are the sites we use, they are usually cheaper than the actual websites sometimes. We didnt like the deals of SW so we decided we'll just skip them. Good luck with the flights!!!

Hooo boy, hope I don't have to pay that price for our flights :scared1:
I've checked those other sites, but they're a LOT more money. I guess I'm spoiled from the $59 we got in 2005, BUT I did notice the other day on a Ding that the prices were $55-$59 for end of July---so the dings just aren't there yet for our time frame. I guess I'm just being impatient!
Thanks for the luck :)

Last summer I got a $39 each way for August for Pit to MCO - but that came out in June. Where are you staying when you go?

Are you signed up for SW Ding?

Currently for the summer AT has no NS flight back home other than the early am one from MCO to PIT (so we've been flying SW on that portion of flight).

Of couse, got stuck initially paying $444 for 3 pp; has dropped to $120 pp - still hope it will drop again before July 1st.

AT seems to be selling the flights out @ the $99 mark w/o a problem.

Depending on day of week you're traveling; you may fare better than we do (travel Sat & Sun only).

Note on new schedule they show a 4:00 NS returning home, almost afraid to book it in case they eliminate it entirely by then; which they did last Oct. and we had to scramble to book SW.

Yes, signed up for Ding--that's where I saw the $55 rate through the end of July the other day. So I know the Dings are coming for beginning of August soon!

AT sent me an email yesterday for $69 to MCO, but didn't specify any dates. When I put in ours (8/5) it still said $99. I'm actually trying to go SW because I've got $150 gift voucher that I'd like to use, but will go with whoever comes through with the cheapest price.

Staying at PC! :cool1:

I was able to get SW rates for $49 PIT-MCO, and $69 back. Leaving this Saturday. :woohoo:

Check 'em 2 or 3 times a day. :thumbsup2

How far in advance did you get that great rate to MCO? I'm getting nervous. We just might have to drive.

Fares PIT to MCO or anywhere in Florida for late summer are outrageous right now.

Not in your area, but flying on Aug 5 also. I think that since it's a Sunday, the fares are higher. I can find lower fares but not for the weekend. Even if I booked a Friday flight, I would end up paying extra for a room for two nights. So, I bit the bullet and paid a lot more than I had planned on.

I fly out of Buffalo and I get the snazzy emails from AT with the big "29 each way!!!" banner.

Then I go through the links and Buffalo to Orlando is the same $89 it was before, and the lowest fare to ANYWHERE from Buffalo is $79 each way. Gives me a headache.

Did you try northwest, we got $114.00 R/T for the end of August? If dates are flexible we are flying out on a monday.

SW has tons of low fares today (some starting @ $40:eek: ) noticed they went into July, didn't check August though.

course, not for my dates lol

good luck.

Wow, that is cheap! I checked earlier, still $122 here for August. Thanks for posting though--hopefully someone else on here can get those $40 fares!

I just booked Delta (Aug 7) and got $98 roundtrip (plus taxes of course) from PIT to MCO. Travelocity sent me a price alert, for 112, I wroted down all the flight numbers and went directly to the Delta site and booked it for $98 (travelocity must make a little on each ticket, but I would have paid the $112!

$98 ROUNDTRIP? I went in and looked for August 5th at both Delta and Travelocity and the cheapest was $189 plus taxes :confused3 Congratulations on getting such a great bargain!

Yes, roundtrip. That is on a Tuesday, I know that my original date Friday, Aug 10 I couldn't get that price. I hope your dates are flexible and you can score a good rate, too. I have a family of five, so we are really doing the Disney dance with our savings!!
