Pirates & Pals Start Time

I know there have been threads in the past, but I just want to confirm with anyone who's done Pirate & Pals recently that the best time to arrive is an hour and 15 minutes before Wishes. Our concierge told us we should show up at 5:45 for a 8:00 Wishes, but that seems way too early. 6:45 works?

We had a specific time that we had to be there since before they go out on the boat they do desserts and pics with Captain Hook and mr smee. It was a really cool thing to do at Disney. Hope you have fun. You might want to call the Disney number just to find out the time that it starts. Since it does vary depending on when wishes is held.

Confirmed our reservation yesterday over the phone, and for 8:00 wishes was told (twice now) to "check in at 6:45, or 6:30 at the earliest."

I'd go at the earlier time. When we went in November We got there when we were told and were one of the last groups there. It was crowded! It was a lot of fun but we didn't eat much because we spend time in line for Hook and Smee. The girls grabbed some snacks for the boat though. It was a lot of fun. Have a great trip!

If I recall right from November, we were told to be there at 6:45 but the pirates came out to start right about that time. I know the previous time we were super early but with late fireworks so I couldn't remember for November and at 6:30 for 8:00 fireworks we were some of the last to check in. If you have kids, they have coloring pages for them to keep them busy after checking in while you are waiting to go into the room.

They will open the ballroom where the party takes place at 6:45. No party activities will take place prior to that time. If you want to go a little early, they usually recommend arriving 15 early minutes to check in, but there's no need to be there before 6:30.

Relying on the Disney general info number or on your resorts' concierge are not the best ways to time P&P. Because the show changes with FW times, not everyone has the latest info.
Check in ALWAYS begins 2 hours before FW time. 10pm FW, then check in starts @ 8pm & party starts @ 8:45; 8pm FW, then check in begins @ 6pm & party starts @ 6:45. Check in is 45mins long. You can arrive anytime in that window and still get in to the party without missing anything. Most nights people just gather in the lobby area, not in a line. Ideally you arrive about 20 mins before the party starts so you can participate in the scavenger hunt and not feel rushed. Enjoy!

Anytime after 6 is ok. Just depends on how long you want to wait.
