Anyone that said traveling with kids isnt fun has NEVER done it!! It is a Blast!! Its full of laughs, silliness and downright unadulterated FUN!
Just think about the recipe. One car, one Mommy, one 17-year-old son, ok not one BUT two 12 year olds, son and daughter and yeah they are twins. How did you guess??? Last but not least a 5-year-old daughter. Now add, luggage enough for 6 people (Dad is meeting us there), drinks, toys, snacks, TV, DVD player, movies, game boys, CDS, pillows, blankets, towels, throw up bags and then add the kitchen sink and we are ready to go!!! Well, add all that stuff up together and you have the Pirate and the Pixies Traveling Circus Vacation! You also can add in our dearest friends. They are a Dad, Mom and 3 boys and have only done Disney ONCE Commando style. It is our goal being the seasoned veterans that we are to HELP them to have fun and learn to enjoy the things around them rather than rush, rush, rush!!
Pirate Mickey (DH) this is the man of my heart, we have been married ALOT of years in February and he is Disney personified. He grew up not to far from Disneyland and has had the Disney fever from a young age. He is addicted to anything electronic with lots of buttons, Mickey Bars, loves to relax with a beer, loves to brag that he beat Buzz Lightyears high score and is happiest when he is with his family. His greatest treasure is in life are his 4 children. We adopted these kids and he considers it his personal mission in life to leave a legacy of love, compassion and DISNEY in their hearts! Oh yes, he is the DIS Pirate Mickey, because his all time favorite ride is POTC.
Whispy Pixie (ME) yes this is me, I am a mom of 4 (5 if you count the Pirate), I love Tinkerbell (thus the name), laughing, being silly, playing with my family and ANYTHING Disney. I married the man that I did because he allows me to be a child at heart quite happily! I am one of those people that are simply amazed at the simplest of things of life.
Cell Phone Charlie (DS) This is our 17-year-old son that has been to Disney 7 times and is a good enough kid to STILL admit that he is NOT too cool for Disney Vacations!! He is our right hand kid, always ready to lend help, grab a collapsed stroller, corral stray children, and then torture them by tickling them. I forgot to mention he is in LOOOOOVE with his GF back home! He has spent a large part of this trip, with his cell phone plastered to his ear, talking to her. We tease him unmercifully about it and he takes it with a wry grin, winking at us!!
Cheergirl Jess (DD) Two four six eight who do we appreciate??? Pooh Bear!! YEAH!!! Wait, this is about our 12 year old daughter NOT Pooh Bear. But, Pooh, IS her most favorite character in the world! Cheergirl Jess, is a seasoned veteran. She has been to WDW 8 times and she never lets her older brother forget it! (yes, we adopted the twins first). She is Miss Analyzation, keeps schedules and everyone on task as to where they better be!! Jess is a competitive cheerleader and I KNOW that she has motioned all of her cheers at least 2 million times on this trip!! Watch out world here she comes! You will want to duck or you might get backhanded! She is great helper with her younger sister and loves to be the HELPER of the crowd. Not only is she a helper, she often times quite pushy and nosey ..lol She also is the one that gets the moodiest!! Is it the age??? The Lord is going to have to help me with this kid.
Smiling Jack Justin (DS) This is Cheergirl Jess other half! There is no better or worse with these twins because their roles in life are CONSTANTLY changing! One is great the other trying and back and forth! Justin is the happy go lucky one. He will go anywhere you want him too, feed him, potty him, give him a place to drum his hands on and he is a great kid! He is our party in a box, always trying to make someone smile or sneakily trying to torture one of his sisters! He spends a great deal of his time dodging his twins cheer motions and then pantomimes her behind her back when no one is looking, complete with facial cheer expressions!! He also turns into a pile of mushy goop when he gets hungry! Have to keep this kid fed and right now THAT is a hard chore to do!
Princess Erin (DD) The last of the amazing four kids! Erin is spoiled rotten! I will admit it, because I DIDNT DO IT!! Her brothers and sister are the ones that have done it! Erin is a Pirates little girl and she has him twisted around her finger (although Pirate would NEVER admit this). In all honesty Erin is a fantastic little girl that is full of smiles, has a memory like an elephant, always tries to be obedient, and is always polite! The Disney magic in her eyes make all of us smile! She can fall asleep at the drop of a hat and wakes up like a puppy bouncing and ready to go! Her cheerful approach to life, makes touring Disney extremely easy!
Other Circus members include our family friends. Many times in life, a couple sometimes find one couple member that they love and they have to tolerate the other OR if they like both people then all the kids fight. We have been magically blessed to find a family that we love! All the adults are best friends and the kids are all best friends. No matter the ages, the abilities, the quirks, and the mannerisms. We all get along! They love us in with our weaknesses and vice versa! It is amazing how God brought us all together, but the bond that was created is simply fantastic! They are .
Commander Brad Patriarch of his family. Brad is similar to me, very global and in things for the fun! He is easy going and dotes on our girls, cause he doesnt have one. I call him Commander because he runs a program at church where he is the commander! He is organized or he appears that way, cause Val is GOOD at what she does. Making her family look great!
Bestest Friend Val This is my bestest girlfriend!! We can laugh, cry and gripe about things together! Ladies if you dont have a person like this in your life, you need to get one NOW! Val is super organized! She keeps her boys (yes all FOUR of them) organized and going the right direction! They would be lost without her! This woman is my role model! She kills me by having her laundry all caught up and all her little snacks stored in color coordinated Ziplocs! Val is much like the Pirate in their thinking and neither one of them puts up with a great deal of crap! She and I have been planning this vacation for over year and between the 2 of us, we covered every base!

Shadow Peyton Peyton is 13 and is very similar to Cheergirl Jess, they both like to be in the middle of every ADULT conversation there is. This trip he and Cell Phone Charlie have hung together! In fact he was Charlies shadow! Everywhere that Charlie went the Peyton was sure to go! Val thought he was annoying Cell Phone Charlie, but when inquiring minds inquired .Charlie always smiled and said NAHHHH, we are checking out chicks!
Pin Trading Preston We created a monster this trip! This monster is otherwise known as Preston. He got so into Pin Trading that, if the rides and attractions hadnt been there .he probably wouldnt have noticed! Preston is 11 years old and is Smiling Jack Justins best friend and they have the most wonderful adventures! Preston is also Cheergirl Jess boyfriend. Ok? Did you get that mixed up future family tree??? These 3 kids make the Three Musketeers of the group and will be referred to often this way.
Lets Go Parker Last but definitely NOT least is, Lets Go Parker! Parker is 7 years old and is the idea man of his family! He and his brothers, try hard to annoy each other, but on this trip they did very little of it. Parker was big enough to ride everything and made sure EVERYONE knew that he could!
Whewwwww ..these 11 critters make up the Traveling Circus! Tired yet? Well if you can endure it ..Here we go and look for the next post!! If not run fast and far, far away because the Traveling Circus Saga begins today!
