Pirate dinner adventure?

I've seen people write about this, but was wondering if I could get more info.

We will be at DL 10/24-10/28, not renting a car. How far is this pirate dinner from DL? We are staying at HOJO.

My son loves the whole Pirates of the Caribbean thing, and since it will be closed while we are at DL, I thought this might be fun.

I've never seen the show, but can advise that the location is near Knott's Berry Farm, north on Beach Blvd near the 91 Fwy. You can get to the vicinity via the MTA #460 bus which terminates near DL, or take a taxi. Perlster put together some info on taking the bus, and his pics reference the Pirates location, which is just off of his maps:

I took my kids' and a friend to the Pirates Dinner when they were in their teens. I think that if your family enjoys getting involved that they would really enjoy this show. It's a bit campy, and a little melodramatic acting, but they do get audience participation. We had fun during the show, and they got my son up there on stage.

If you go, get there early for the snacks and preshow in the lobby.

Distance by car is actually just 6.5 miles. I5 north to 91W, Exit on Beach and it's right there. A cheap cab ride will get you there in 10-15 minutes. Check out this link for discount tickets.

We went last summer and we loved it me, DH, DD14, DS9 & DS11. Make sure you go hungry becasue you will be stuffed when you leave It is about 10 minutes away. The show is awesome and they try to get people from the audience envolved from the show. Search around for discounted tickets. Also sign up on their email list. We bought tickets for half off but I had to look around a bit for it.
