I searched for the answer and came up empty handed so I'm looking for some help.

I already have candy but I need stuff for kids (boys, mostly) age 9-12. i need stuff for next weekend.
Thanks so much for helping me

I've seen large bags of cheap toys made especially for piniatas at large stores like Wal-Mart.

Baseball or other trading cards.

Pencils.

Superballs.

Fake tattoos.

Things I have put into a pinata:

Balloons, small games & goody bag stuffers from the party store. Crazy straws, matchbox cars, silly sunglasses, temporary tattoos and stickers, "poppers", whistles, silly putty, super balls (if pinata will be broken on grass) small bottles of bubbles.

If they're pirate fans, what about an eye patch? It's small enough, I think they're about $1 each though. How many kids do you have attending?

there are 15 kids. the youngest is 1 and the oldest is 12.
I think I have plenty for the girls....

I'm more concerned with the 4 boys (3.5 yr, 3.5 yr., 9 yr, and 12 yr).
I'm so freaking clueless..... :confused3
thanks everyone for the help

We had a pinata last weekend at our Neighborhood Night Out pool party and the older boys (like middle school/high school) were diving for the candy just as much as the little ones - they truly didn't care what came out of that thing.

Word of caution - don't overfill, because then the dang thing won't break open they way it should...or it will be too heavy and will break from where the loop is at the top.

Pudding!

(Just kidding; PLEASE don't try this at home! :teeth: )

i also get bags of fruit treats. also for the youngest ones the bags they'll put what they've collected into already have some stuff in them-it kind of balances the playing field (the older kids always manage to grab the bulk of the stuff).

I like those bouncy balls...that way when they hit the ground the spill all over

I hate the cheap little toys, so I just fill the pinata with lots of candy and then put a few nicer toys (boxes of crayons, beach balls, play-doh) in the party bags.

For DS's birthday party tomorrow, I filled the pinata with 5 bags of candy -- that's half a bag of candy per child. :rotfl2:

For DS13's birthday party we did pirate treasure chest boxes for all the boys -- hackey sacks, superballs, mini yoyos, pirate tattoos, pirate fruitchews, camouflage cover mini notepads. I also would have done some pencils & pens & shaped erasers but the boxes were stuffed.
